Can I have those stupid melee cam kills you get for Skyrim but just showing you doing wrestling moves to open up a safe? I don't care if Todd Howard and someone else are the announcers in the background screaming "WHERE'S THE MANAGER" when I smash open the super mart's safe with a leg drop.

What's the point of having an event that isn't just press only, and then cracking down on lovely cellphone camera footage? So people can tell their friends "Fallout 4 is going to be awesome, but you have to trust my judgement because only I get to see the secret footage"?

One person hollers "Terminal!" like a loving asspie, but everyone else is silent with apathy. However, when the lockpicking comes there are whoops and cheers.

Looking forward to seeing some in-game footage of melee/unarmed combat. They have gone to lengths to talk about how they were making sure the FPS combat was up to snuff and feeling modern, but no mention of the other 2 major combat skills. The melee in the previous games is pretty embarrassing, failing to even be up to par with Oblivion/Skyrim melee (which some may also feel is pretty terrible to begin with). Hopefully they also have some combat surprises up their sleeves to reveal, like maybe dual wielding or shields. Shields might sound a little too skyrimmy but I think riot shields and trashcan lids and whatnot sound like an interesting way to add some more options to combat.

While finally getting a chance to watch that leaked footage on my PC instead of my phone I realized why so many people probably have a problem with hacking - if you're playing this on a console or with a game pad on the PC then you literally need to scroll through every single character and every single line to get to the answers. I can see how that would be annoying, on the PC I don't need to worry about that and don't actually mind the hacking game as it can actually present a challenging puzzle. Also it looks like maybe not everywhere is open to the main map, some of the larger interior spaces may still have some sort of transition. I still think it'll be pretty different not having to run through a thousand doors when exploring and actually being able to see (and fire) through windows for a change. Now - if only they'd release the the footage from that event or something similar so we can see what's going without having to look through the eyes of a man with severe cataracts who's hiding behind two other dudes.

Random post: I went into the new exhibition in the Dublin Science Gallery today. It is called SECRET and is about encryption etc. They have a lock picking exhibit where they give you a lockpick and let you try your luck at 1,2,3,4 and 5 pin locks that look exactly like fallout locks. I failed at the 4 pin one. Go see it if you are in Dublin line, it is really good and free.

Replace the minigame with a 30 minute loop of "Take On Me" by Ah Ha. Each perk in Hacking you take reduces the loop by 3 minutes. You must sit through the entire thing to gain access to the terminal.

A "dial-up" tone immediately plays, followed by Fallout announcing that he's "hacking the mainframe!" A pseudo-Tetris game appears, except the blocks are replaced by shaped code. Every time a line is eliminated, Fallout says something like, "Took out the firewall!" or "Rerouting!" The worse s/he is at hacking, the faster the pieces fall. If the player is accompanied by a party member, they'll both huddle around the terminal and hammer on the keyboard like apes while saying stuff like "I've never seen a refresh rate like this!" and "Hang on, let me get a higher resolution..."
