I mean aside from her totally rad music. She doesn't have a theme to her attacks like the other final bosses do, like Yuyuko's butterflies, Eirin's complicated laser grids, Utsuho's suns, poo poo like that. They're just normal bullet patterns.

This looks really bad from a game balance standpoint. Changing the bomb fragments to lives? What were you thinking, ZUN? I'm very hesitant about playing this, speaking as someone who loved the demo.

I think the general idea with LoLK was to continue the trend of making the games easier without totally giving up on difficulty. Hence the emphasis on Pointdevice mode. Each character has two endings, with the best one only being accessible on Legacy Mode or a No Miss clear of Pointdevice. You can still get into Extra with a Pointdevice clear, but it's locked to Legacy mode. So it looks like the idea is for new players to beat the game on Pointdevice then gradually get good enough to win on Legacy. Only real complaint I have is that there's no Spellcard Practice.

I'm not sure if anyone's covered Sanae's story yet. I didn't pay attention to most of it, but Sanae came up with the theory that since fairies are embodiments of nature, Clownpiece is the reason that she can breathe air on the moon. After their fight, Clownpiece talked about wanting to go to sleep for a while, and Sanae was like, "No, you're not allowed to sleep! If you do, I'll probably die!"

Everyone else can probably breathe on the moon because of Eirin's shady drugs but poor Sanae has to rely on the whims of a crazy American Hell Fairy Clown. Oh well, she got to go into space and save the world from evil moon invaders and stuff. So she's probably living the dream.

I am glad that Sanae succeeded in becoming a shonen hero that saved the earth from evil moon invaders and the moon from demons from hell. I hope that her mums are proud of her accomplishments.
