i take it you've never seen a chinese factory? i have, and this doesn't surprise me at all. they have these huge open factories covering an acre or more, and inside will be 20 different production lines all making different products for different customers. nothing will be separated, so you'll have people putting food into packaging 2m away from another line where people are pouring toxic chemicals into bottles. the only nod to safety will be a "No Smoking" sign, and the only cleanliness will be someone who sweeps the floor twice a week.
