e: Seems I did something right, because now it does present me with the server options in game. Problem two is that there seems to be some sort of graphics bug, almost everything is textured... black? Some sort of shader bug?  I do see thruster and weapons fire though. Tried the graphics setting and dialing between PS1 and PS2 settings (Bad/Best  ) and that didn't do anything.Gonna try the JP time setting thing, that's +9 right? Not that I understand why that would effect *graphics* but this is Japanese MP coding so I can believe anything... e: Nope, no difference with the JP time. Seeing as the game patched without error codes (no error codes at all so far) without it I'm not sure if it got anything to do with it

No difference. I notice now that the 3D graphics are "blacked out" in the hangar view as well, but the UI overlay and the backdrop graphics show up fine (along with SFX). Weird.

Just started playing again and am using the Hildofr. It is a hilarious hard counter to all the high mobility high cost enemies, because you can just shoot them in the face with the net gun and then watch your teammates descend on them like a pack of starving dogs. I start laughing so hard when a pixie is coming at me, I shoot a net, and it just stands there while I HE(F) it to death.

just look at this http://msgo.bandainamco-ol.jp/event/20150819/ across the board, if you got a weapon and it isn't a bazooka, it is getting buffed. most people are getting some hp buff missiles now carry double, shoot double, but do half damage. So more to dodge, same damage.

So, I just learned this game exists a couple days ago, and I'm slowly figuring stuff out. The UI seems slightly different than the images in the OP, but with strategic use of the camera mode of the google translate app, I'm figuring some basic stuff out. I have a question though. It seems like there's only the one kind of battle that I'm allowed to participate in, and usually they have very few actual humans playing in them. Do I have to rank up some more before I'm able to access co-op and large battles, or am I missing something?

The game just got a patch this week which changed the Ui. Most of the stuff is in the same place or looks the same. Use the English wiki in the op to figure out most of the basics. And to answer your question, yes, you have to play a few matches before the large battles open up.

Thats why the UI looks totally different. You have to rank up a few times before you can do more battles etc. shouldn't take too many games.

So I have ranked up enough to unlock more stuff, so I have fewer gray buttons now! Sadly, I appear to be in queue forever now, and I'm not sure where to find the co-op stuff. I'll keep on looking through everything with my phone's translator. On a side note, I learned not to press buttons at random when I almost deleted my character. Oh, and I convinced 3 other battlefield goons to play the game. We usually are in one of the battlefield channels in the CTS mumble. Or in the Artemis channel. or sometimes the Boardgaming channel. The worst part about making new characters in the new system is you can't platoon with your friends and you play on a tiny map that isn't really representative of what can happen in real 52vs52 matches. Got a list of character names? If you're playing on Shangri-La（シャングリラ) Zeon, I'll kick some inactives to make room for you and your friends in the clan when I'm back from work later tonight.
