Wow, I'd never heard of red pandas until this seeing this post. They're so cute, unfortunately there are none in any of the zoos near me. Will have to stick to viewing all these pics for now.

Yeah, despite being somewhat popular at zoos (unfortunately not in your area), they're not really an animal that comes up in daily conversation. Along with dik diks, quolls and binturongs. Not sure why! Maybe people are just confused having more than one kind of panda.
