I feel really guilty about owning the Logitech G910 Orion Spark

It doesn't even do anything cool with the RGB backlight :(

i looked at the g910 but the sci-fi gamer look is a turn off since i'm in the market for an office kb

the corsair k rgbs look nice, but they come with the caveat of a really lovely brand logo sticker (replaceable), a rather steep number of hours to setup proper if you want to do software dependant highlights and not just random shiny patterns and the absence of a k-lock

yeah that's the obvious marketable thing but personally since i use a poo poo ton of shortcuts in office or indesign or whatever it'd be a good learning tool if i can hook in a menu dependant state where i can do keyboard highlights of the new things i'm trying to remember

it's a totally frivolous use case, but once you add in the hardware level macro capabilities heh, works for me i guess

it's either that or a poker 3 + external numpad + dolch keycaps, i'm still thinking about it

I would go balls deep on this, but i also rely on the arrow keys, the home/end/pgup/pgdown grouping, and the numpad a lot for my daily work.

i picked up my board for 60 bux on sale from Monoprice when they still sold mechanical keyboards

its a shame they don't have them anymore because i can't imagine paying more than $100 for a keyboard and this thing is seriously ownage

the last two things on my desk to replace with Monoprice gear is my mouse and my speakers

no joke, my keyboard, monitor, mousepad, and even my iPhone case have a monoprice logo on them. Not to mention all the cables

Being able to hit every key you need w/o having to travel far (or at all) off the home row, reclaiming valuable desk real estate & 60% keyboards look sick as hell (except HHK2)

tenkeyless puts your mouse closer to your keyboard, so it's supposed to be better for ergonomics. that + never using a numpad anyway is why i went for one.

large hands supremacy, i'm an inch short of covering a full size keyboard from right ctrl to esc with a single hand

that said, not having to angle your wrists around all the time if you have actual human sized hands is a valid ergo concern, same reason why i try to avoid transitioning to my mouse if possible

+1 on the good looks, albeit my personal idea of a neat 60% replaces keys 1 through = with f keys since i'd rock an external numpad anyhow

actually, anyone know what keyboard would allow me to remap those keys at a hardware level?

being tall sucks for a couple reasons like shopping for shoes and clothes, but you won't shame my freak hands :colbert:

on the topic of freaky things, rekey this and it's kinda hot, an extensible numpad with plenty of space for custom mapping
