I've met lots of people who at least would, if not have carb-swapped a vehicle with a turdbucket engine and enough frame rust that a 'minor fender bender' turns the rear bumper 90 degrees. Highly doubt it's one of a kind.

This is the first one of these I've seen that actually doesn't look like it was glued together by tweakers. If you can get over the weird proportions that you get when you try to put a faux Lamborghini skin on a Fiero (and the :barf: stock Fiero interior) this actually looks....almost...good? at $22k though

Ahem, now on to the real ad.

Selling my 87 T-Top Turbo Z31 300ZX. This car comes fully loaded from the factory with power locks, power windows, power steering, cruise control and much more!

This car is an original Calgary vehicle, and has spent it's entire life in the city. No accidents, Active-AB status.

The timing belt was changed at 190K. Engine is excellent, turbo spools up very nicely and its got a very good kick to it. No leaks at all, the clutch is also very solid. Also has a Ravin performance exhaust.

Interior of this car is in excellent condition, no rips in the seats. Comes from a smoke and pet free home.

Exterior has no rust, very well kept. Recently polishsed.

All in all this is an excellent car, doesnt need anything at all. Always puts a smile on my face. The only con is that the windshield has a crack.

Asking a firm price, please no low ballers or time wasters.

CALL or EMAIL ONLY, no texts please.

Yes. 84-85 only. Offset Scoops/NACA ducts are badass. I've always held the opinion that the Z31 is a lot better than most give it credit for (I also happen to really like it's styling), it was pretty successful in showroom stock GT racing despite it's reputation. The C4 Corvette also has a similar reputation but was even more successful, so much so that it was banned from the GT class.

All the 80s GT cars were pretty turdy compared to their later siblings. It was a rough transition to the 89-90s largesse.

Must be a common thing for dads or granddads to get trucks like this - my late grandpa had a Blazer of the same era and that thing was practically bulletproof. He drove it for years, then gave it to my father who drove it a short time before wrecking it in a DUI collision because he's a stupid careless rear end in a top hat. I miss that beast :(

What's wrong with the LS4? I thought it was just an LS1 block with different boltons and a different bellhousing pattern.

I mean, I would only use one for a swap that required that specific bolt pattern, but...

They're also 5.3L instead of 5.7, so probably based on the aluminum genIV truck motor. Still, I didn't think there was anything wrong with them either. Would make for a great Fiero swap.

I thought the thing was on jack stands. Nope! True 4x4 status.
What and incredible hack job. Couldn't even get the wheel centered in the opening, and those strut tower tops are not going to stay where they are for long.
I love the idea, but the execution is problematic.

The transmission that came with it was far underspec and rarely lived past the warranty period. GM went through a period in the early 2000s where they put LS engines in a whole bunch of cars with no other changes.

What the gently caress? I understand getting rid of the truck 4 cylinder motor the US got with those cars with a V8, but why go to the lengths of making a car that was never mid engined like that?

Oh, well, gently caress, it's a transverse auto. I give absolutely zero fucks about that pile of poo poo, all I want is the sweet sweet 60 degree V6 patterned 5.3L LS4 to put in something with the crank facing the right direction.

Like, say, that 1991 Toyota Pickup which I keep mentioning, to whose stock auto or manual transmission it will bolt using 87-90 4cyl XJ/MJ or 96-01 4cyl Dakota bellhousing/transmission components, respectively. One of my favorite examples of a mental engine swap made possible by the sheer laziness of at least four automotive OEMs.
