Oh god, that preview for next week's episode looks fantastic. Of course Rick would create an entire micro-universe for something as mundane as a car battery.

Hope this quote is still unanswered half an hour in the future, did you miss when the sex bots last season were dropped off by literally the head from zardoz?

I hope that episode grows on me with repeat viewings. It's only fair there's a refractory period after last week.

I don't watch american idol et. al.

A bad episode of Rick and Morty is still okay, but this was the weakest one of the bunch by a long shot. I find it hard to believe that Rick could just waltz into the pentagon relatively unchallenged and everyone is just cool with it. (It would make sense if Rick and the president were friends prior, and now they've paved the way for him to do it alter, but as it was presented in the episode it was pretty Mary Sueish.) The whole sub plot was just there for Internet atheists to be smug over. There was no reason for Beth and Jerry to suddenly realize they love each other, you know, again, Summer was totally out of character, and what the living hell with anything Ice T did in that episode? I'm also over "har, reality TV, amirite?"

"Does the pope's dick fit in a doughnut?" is excellent, however, and I'm using that on my Catholic husband every chance I get.

This episode was completely all over the place. Between this flop and the previous dud (The Unity episode, last week's episode was good), I hope this isn't a harbinger of the rest of the season, especially after episodes 1 and 2 were incredible.

That episode was sorta underwhelming (and I also got my fill of cult plots with this week's Review). But anything after last week is a tough act to follow.

This was a good episode, but it was kind of bothering they won and never bailed. It's just kind of freaky how quickly "our" Summer got into the murdering people stuff.

Eh, it was actually just part of the gag that organized religion doesn't give a poo poo whether you're actually happy, you broke the rules, you get balloon'd. Anyway, isn't Summer always kind of a trend-follower? Like how she tried to stop Unity just because that's what the good guys always do in the movies (not that Unity was right, just that Summer clearly hadn't though about the situation). She and Jerry are the Peggy Hills of the show, she just didn't get many chances to mess stuff up in the first season because she was at home involved with the more mundane b-plot.

It still had some good moments, but yeah, I think that might have been the show's weakest episode to date.
