"To Kumquat" is a verb, and it means to mine a site for new content that is not in the doc, in real-time, while the recording is happening. That is often why Kumquat says very little for long stretches of some episodes he's in. He's working.

I can confirm it was the Blurt It episode, because it's my favorite episode and I listen to it at least once a week. The exact line was "I'm Kumquatting through the 'wars and conflict' thing now," at around the 18:50 mark.

For the original "nothing didn't happen as much as that" line, I know it was at least before 2014.
