My favorite Jake Lloyd thing is the behind-the-scenes doc where it is revealed George passed over several other kids with way better timing and natural ability than Lloyd so that he could build his ultimate poo poo sandwich movie.

The one that was the best actor looked like a little Mark Hamill to boot.

It cut out most of the crap and kept a scene where Jarjar gets kicked in the dick. Clearly superior to the actual film.

So I'm not delusional in thinking the second Clone Wars cartoon series...is actually pretty good? I know it's been bless with not being EU, but I'm kind of shocked for something so directly canonical (and in theory near to Lucas) to not be poo poo, but to in fact be pretty entertaining. I love that the Anakin with a different actor voicing him is leaps and bounds better than the real one.

It's totally fine, there's enough decent episodes that if you skip the crap you'll still have something leftover to watch.

It's acceptable as "something to throw on while you are doing something else," I can't imagine enjoying a marathon of it, it's mostly a Saturday morning cartoon.

Mostly watching it with my 3 year old who enjoys it's after getting home from work. Still now it seems she prefers watching Harmys cuts of Star Wars more.

Clone Wars cartoon has it's moments but there are points where it does poo poo like "4 episodes in a row about a diplomatic mission to super boring planet, starring C3PO and Jar Jar" or similar bullshit.

Yeah it feels like a show that's okay, but could be great with some episode condensing.

IIRC, the 3D rerelease was like the lowest box office numbers in Star Wars history. I believe it made a total lifetime box office of $43 million dollars, a tenth of the original release. They were supposed to do all 6 movies, but I don't think Star Wars audiences want to sit through post-converted releases of Ep 2 and Ep 3 to see the original films, albeit with Lucas' digital add-ons, in post-converted 3D.

That Cartoon Network Star Wars CGI poo poo is to the movies what 'Goosebumps' is to a movie thriller. It's definitely written for kids (though intended to move merchandise a lot quicker than any RL Stine crap). I took in the first few episodes with my son when the series first debuted, and just left it behind for boring. Even my son, who at that age would stay riveted to the tube for dumb poo poo like Ben 10, was preferring to go outside whenever the show would come on after a few more episodes.
Later on I learned they brought back Darth Maul as a half-mechaspider crazy sewer hobo? What the gently caress. Flush it.

It was in Star Wars Tales (a comic series where they did non-canon/dubious-canon stories). Cyborg-Maul traveled to Tatooine to kill Obi-Wan and Baby Luke:

That was pretty rad. I don't know why a stormtrooper would try and maintain a 'fro though.

It's great when people tired to fill in Vader's past and would comically re-cast him as a sensitive, fragile spirit filled with neurosis. Never realising the reality could be so much worse.

TIE Fighter and its expansion take place between the Battle of Hoth and the Battle of Endor, but there were only a few Defenders, Advanced and Missile Boats available and the Empire saw Zaarin as a much bigger threat than the Rebels so they deployed their best forces against him and a large bulk of reserves against the rebels..

Still doesn't explain why no Assault Gunboats were seen at Endor tho...
