How are people getting their DS4s to work on this game. I finally got it to recognize the controller but the movements were severely lagging. My Logitech F310 works fine but prefer the DS4 is I can get it to work.

I plugged it in and it worked fine. It did seem a little hinky as I plugged it in after I had booted up the game, but a comp reboot fixed that. The only issue I found is that the controller layout still shows the X1 controller during tutorial prompts, otherwise the button prompts are all DS4. It's nice, but I settled on KBM controls for now. My only complaint with KBM is no walk function, but since I spend 90% of the time in the car it doesn't matter much.

No idea where it is or how to activate it but the mission I'm on requires me to do that one first.

I'll try a reboot as I'm sitting here not believing I didn't think to do that last night. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure G2A is one of those sites that re-sells CD keys bought using stolen credit cards. Just beware, because in the past, keys from G2A (and other sites like it) have been revoked by Steam, after redemption even.

Ahhh so you need to install all the other parts to trigger the mission for the last part. I didn't bother because I didn't have them all if that makes sense.

This was my concern too, 6970 seems just old enough that I'm not sure if it's better than the 78whatever the minimum specs recommend. If you get it working smoothly I'd love to hear though.

The bitch is that it runs flawlessly on high, for about 10 minutes, then black screen or a bunch of grey vertical bars. I started a ticket on the WB games website.... so here's hoping. I'm going to get MGSV because I'm well within the minimum requirements and I'm confident I'll have fewer problems, if not I can always return it as soon as my graphics card shits the bed.

I've never even heard of the reviewer and he barely loving writes anything, negative from the start. Probably the worst loving review I've read this year.

I get the feeling most reviewers are just burnt out on frantically reviewing another open world game and it shows. Either that or the crunch to do like 70 hours of this and MGS hosed with people. Isn't the Steam Review consensus overwhelmingly positive? Everyone who isn't a Game Review Site Person I've talked to has said this is fun.

Every mid- to big-name title, with the exception of the truly awful ones, tends to get a wave of positivity from the early adopters because they were the people champing at the bit to play it anyway. Neither group is a reliable indicator of overall quality.

I guess what I was asking was, is it possible to run your car out of gas out in the middle of nowhere? And if you do, must you hoof it for miles to find more, or does the game whip up an electrical storm to kill you.... ?

You can fast travel back to base I guess? I'm not sure what happens if you run out of gas before you have a base to fast travel to, but I think at that point you're locked into a pretty small-ish area so the walk wouldn't too grueling (it'd still be awful though).

If I was designing the game, I'd let you sit there out of gas for a minute or two before some fuel-carrying War Boys conveniently stumble across you for you to kill and take their guzzoline.

I think I remember a gameplay video stating that your car just gets really sluggish once it runs out of gas.

Loving the game so far but I've got a weird sound bug that's really bringing the experience down. Every now and then the audio will get super muffled, like the game is trying to output on channels that I don't have -- using a pair of headphones plugged into an Asus Z97. Don't seem to get this in any other games but it's terribly annoying when the music continues playing perfectly while Chumbucket gets all Peanuts-adulty, "wah whahah waaah whaa."

Even better Chumbucket has to get out of the car and push it the whole time while grumbling.

There does seem to be alot of gas around so it really shouldn't come up that much unless the player is riding out into the wasterland storm/purposely runs out of gas.

Make sure your in-game setting isn't set to 5.1 or 7.1 - I imagine that would cause the issue you're describing (sound being piped to channels you don't have).

Haha, holy poo poo that's awesome. Having a blast with this game so far. It's pretty much what I expected in that it's a splendid way to wind down and gently caress poo poo up.

I attacked a convoy, ripped the driver out right as my car set aflame, and dodged on-coming enemy vehicles until they exited and I proceeded to bash their warfaces in. After that, I piled up cars next to the convoy leader, all the while ramming it with them to add on to damage. I threw an ignited fuel can in the midst of the collection, and the numerous fuel barrels attached to the vehicle led to a glorious explosion. I like this game a lot. You do start off pretty restricted, but it's pretty cool what you can do if you plan things right with the tools given.
