Not a glitch, but probably unintended: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPjJCVylFBo The sound might be fake, but the head is moving at least.

The reason that guy is offering $1000 for the glitch is he's trying to do a 100% no jump Mario 64 run. Apparently he's down to like 20 jump presses or so and that glitch could cut out a lot of them.

There's a no-running, no-warp TAS of Super Mario Bros. that's only possible because of a hilarious glitch in 4-3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EOzbAHPmvM&t=647s

That's pretty cool, but would someone mind explaining what's actually happening here for someone that hasn't ever played with Roms and tools? It appears that Mario passes through a number of enemies at different points but never takes damage. Does the program or hack or whatever it is also make the player invincible? Is there anyone with an actual controller in their hand for something like this or is the tool doing all the work?

Mario can pass through enemies because the hitbox is smaller then the Mario sprite. Tool Assisted Runs are typically done by a player making inputs on an emulator with the game artificially slowed down drastically, often for a single frame at a time. A record of these inputs is then saved and played in real time.

If I recall correctly, the code in the first Mario only checks to make sure Mario's moving downward when it checks for stomping, which is why Mario can stomp the second red Koopa Troopa with his armpit--he's moving downward as he collides.

Out of context, this is what I imagine video game characters do in their spare time after having to act out the same scenario in their games for so many years. "Princess got kidnapped again? gently caress it, I'm walking. There's no hurry."

I had an odd glitch last night in Arkham Knight. Batman's body just disappeared. He was just cape, cowl, face, belt, boots, and gloves for awhile.

Started playing Lords of the Fallen. There's a door which opens for just a small amount of time if you step on a pressure-plate. Until I looked it up, I assumed you had to just be quick enough, so I stepped on that plate a bunch (turns out your decoy skill has weight). Funny thing: each time the door closed a little further in an open position. So this is actually supposed to be completely closed: And after I did it, this is "open" now.
