The HMG is a more reliable active turn weapon, so I endorse it over the sniper option.

That's a crit.
A couple of observations:

First, you have a LOT of close range stuff and two HMGs, but very little mid-range firepower. Depending on the terrain set-up, that might be OK, but with only 10 orders and a vanilla army (i.e. no link teams), you're looking at sucking your stash of Command Tokens dry pretty quickly to pull off enough coordinated orders to get more than a few of them into positions where all that short-range firepower will be most effective, especially if your opponent is clever enough to take advantage of the Daturazi's impetuousness to pull you out of position.

Second, having a G: Mnemonica Lieutenant is a great call for keeping yourself from suffering Loss of Lt, but be aware that your Hacking Device Plus is a piece of gear and does not jump with your Mnemonica. If your Lt (who is also very buff and shooty and likely to see action) gets shot up and forced to jump, you lose your hacker. In a list with so many remotes, that has the potential to be problematic. Getting your Q-Drone possessed will ruin your day.

Holy poo poo. Beaconland is a ridiculous scenario. Game came down to the very last order, my Adriana vs. a Corregidor list.

Is it just me or is Beaconland the only scenario for which you need to build a different list? In a real ITS scenario, isn't everyone just pulling the ITS cards out of a hat?

I'm looking for some input on this Aleph list. It is intended to an "all comers" list for ITS scenarios.

I'm not sure what this list does vs TAGS, but I've also never play at 300pts either so *shrug*. I toyed with idea of dropping the spitfire deva for a mono mines naga and another yudbot. I figure the mono mines would be good against armor and I like the idea of yudbots running everywhere allowing the sophotect to heal my dudes and fix my remote if an opponent doesn't completely finish them off. Though the MSV2 and smoke gag is pretty sweet too, so 2 visors seems good as well.

Is it a really bad idea to only have 10 orders at 300pts?

Huh, I somehow mentally linked Overlord and Total Control to Remotes as well as TAGs. But re-reading it, you're absolutely right.

That said, it seems kind of dumb that you can possess the thing that's got an actual human(oid) pilot but not the one that doesn't.

So painting for my tournament list is going unexpectedly well (as in fast, not good...) so I was thinking I could probably chuck something else on the queue that might be useful for the tournament.

Any of these in particular worth considering for vanilla Ca in 250 psuedo ITS?

Caliban
Cadmus
Hasht
2nd Legate
Sphinx

Probably should have prefaced that with the tournament is in little more than a week!

So Worm Gang is probably going to get done. And possibly the Fraacta. I have Ko Dali as my preferred drop troop at the moment, but the toughness and specialist of a the Fraacta might make it a bit more useful.

Post tourny I'll definitely get all the rest done. Eventually.

Had my game with that above list vs vanilla Nomads. Scenario was the beacon one War Foot posted a few pages back

List did really well with both the Charontid and Maakrep claiming a few sculpts apiece. Charontid smashing the hacker going after it was excellent.

Some good rolls on my side, but Goddamn Dats own bones. Cheap enough to not cause too much pain if they die, but nasty enough that whats they get in they can kill most things. Add smoke to that and they're a loving steal

Vanilla Nomads: think I'm alright to rely on Tomcat engineers, or should I look at fielding a Clockmaker from time to time as well? So far I'm running pretty remote/TAG heavy, probably 4 between the two. Could be nice to have some repairs closer to the midfield. Shame about that model though.

Yeah, most of the sculpts are pretty boss. Now if only they could do female poses that make them look like they aren't desperately trying to keep their butt-plugs from falling out. I hate the pigeon-toed, feet-apart, knees-together, anime YATAA! thing so many of them have going on.

In this respect at least the new female Janissary sculpt is pretty awesome. "Yeah, I have a missile launcher. Probably gonna use it to gently caress you up. What of it?" Or maybe, "Hold still a sec, I'ma reload."

It's not as crippling as it was in 2nd edition but it's still a massive hit to your turn, unless (like Morats) your troops are all Veteran. Active or reactive turn, your lieutenant is killed you will begin your next active turn in LoL as far as I know.

Thats incorrect. You technically don't enter loss of lieutenant when your lietuenant dies.

http://wiki.infinitythegame.com/en/Loss_of_Lieutenant

During the tactical phase (Tallying up order) if you don't have a lieutenant you enter loss of lieutenant. You can only nominate a new lieutenant at the end of the turn you entered loss of lietenant.

So lets say you have joan of arc moving and pheonix in a link team spots her. Joan shoots with her spitfire and misses, because the dice hate joan of arc, and phoneix hits her and kills her. I have not entered loss of lietuentant yet, so I cannot nominate a new lieutenant at the end of my turn. (Im not bitter at all)

I could be horribly wrong, but reading the Loss of Lieutenant rules it seems pretty straightforward.

This is my perception as well. If it weren't the case, nominating a fighty obvious lt, then attacking with him in the 1st round until he died, would actually be an ok idea - since you could then nominate any model without restrictions.

Objective points for missions can be spent either on the specialization table/control screen/whatever, or on the Spec-op as XP. If the Spec-Op or any named character ends a battle dead/unconscious, you gotta pass the appropriate medevac/cubevac rolls to rescue them or risk not having them for the rest of the campaign (you could create a fresh spec-op though). You want a baggage and a doctor on hand for the rolls.

...I'm now sad again because plasma can no longer break cubes :(
