i went thru some of the other missions and max is just so goddamned lame. i guess they're trying to point out how dumb anti-heroes are but i think it would carry more weight if you actually made the choices yourself instead of yelling at max to stop being a dick each time he fucks up

it's hosed up how the story uses the whole 'woman and child die to motivate max' thing so then he avenges them and then he throws away the memento from the little girl like i get it. he's a hero in a lovely world so actually he's not really a hero at all just the least-bad, but gently caress man, that's just cold

went back to kerbs after saying I'd wait for the 1.1/remotetech update got a ship into moho orbit and a lander down to the surface, but on the way up it ran out of gas so the pilot bailed out and took the science with him. he made it to orbit but then he too ran out of gas while on the way back to the ship. just spent the last 20 minutes try to bump the ship's hatch into him so he can get a grab prompt when I switch over, but the ship doesn't have rcs so all I have is the main engine and torque I don't have the time or patience I used to so I'm going to cheat him a few extra drops of rcs and pretend he discovered an emergency backup tank then he gets to sit in solar orbit for a couple of years because there isn't enough fuel left to get home from moho anyway

as cool as d-walker is and im sure quiet is OP as gently caress, d-dog just rules and having him spot enemies and bite some arms is great fun ...i just take forever to get to places as i havent unlocked fultoning cars yet... just did the oil mission in africa (which was amazing! holy poo poo do missions become even more involved later on.... and much harder, loving enemies everywhere)

you need the transportation specialist to get the cargo 2 fulton ddog is basically a radar which can be upgraded to stun/kill/fulton people quiet is a decent get out of jail free card and ive not used dwalker yet
