Trial period for the iPhone ended and I went back to a Droid. Though the sound and chart syncing with the music was better, I had a reliability issue with the touch screen. Position 1 (if we were numbering left to right) wouldn't register a tap for me at least once every other song. This would happen even if I flipped the phone around and tried the other corner. In addition, the only built-in speaker was right next to the charge cable port, meaning I'd muffle the sound playing normally the way I'm used to, Game Boy-style. I didn't think to try setting the iPhone flat on a table, might have gotten different results that way. Joining the 550+ combo club as well. Today I learned how to fumble through scales!  I don't think I can actually ever play songs on standard Hard mode without a crutch now. My setup is all messed up, what with keeping a constantly widened timing window holding my hand and whacked out -25 adjustment, just so I can have safety nets upon safety nets for Super Hard songs. Still can't alternate my thumbs fast enough for Otomeshiki.

I haven't been playing lately cus I've just been really busy with other stuff, but I have found this game's male doppleganger while searching for mobile games to do on YouTube. The face tapping mechanic is slightly different, but everything else is almost identical, only it's mostly dudes. It's not terrible though, if you're not married to the Love Live thing specifically and just like animu themed jpop rhythm games. I did a Let's Look on it. Part 1 Part 2

^nice - also interesting to see Criware's logo on that as well as stuff like Destiny (School Idol Festival chat) Oh hey, I didn't even realize a new set of Rs for the main cast was released again. I haven't even picked up all of the previous set, the pool for Regular draws is so filled with stuff I already have that it's going to take a good deal more friend points to eventually best the random number generator I can also now recommend Sanrio's magnum opus of the new century, the Show By Rock mobile game as another alternative while we're on this topic. Gameplay setup is more traditional top-scrolling stuff, cast of fake artists is gigantic compared to LLSIF, UI is generally very slick. You just have jump through the hoops of getting it off of the Japanese Google Play/App Store (or a direct download apk somewhere) and then deal with the Japanese text like Reid was doing in the post above.

Yeah Show by Rock is pretty cool although I play it like once a month, the anime was nice. Use Qooapp to download your Asian apps, it's much better than going to a sketchy site.

I finally got a UR and it's a good one that opens the timing window and does a drastic increase in the same characteristic. That was in the normal draws. Then I used 15 vouchers for 3 SRs lol. I would've been really disappointed otherwise. Now I have 90 gems and I'll just save them all up again until I hit 250 and get another voucher draw.

I wish I had been saving my gems. I had enough for one 11-draw, got a SR Nozomi, then did the coupon draw with my rank coupons and got the same SR there, for instant idolizing. The odds of that must have been so low that it should've just given me an UR instead

Luck (law of large numbers) has finally come about and I got another UR. I saw that the SR guarantee was still up and I did it on a whim. both that I now have are from the 11 draw lol. It's a blue "special chocolate" Nico so now with blue "simple dress" Eli my blue team will be good. I wonder though: are the URs with same attribute bonuses better or worse than ones with different attribute (Nico ups blue wrt red)?

I guess that depends on the team you're fielding (which secondary stat is their biggest), but I find that the cards that increase smile/cool/pure based on another attribute are somewhat better than cards that drastically increase their own. Usually it's not a huge difference, maybe about 1000-2000 extra smile/cool/pure than a card that boosts its own attribute, but even that minor difference turns into a score that is several thousand points higher than what I get with same attribute boosts. So in my experience, different attribute boosts always better, though it varies how much.

The same-stat increase is 9%, and the off-stat increase is 12%, so you need your other stat to be at least 75% of the main one. If you have all max level SR/UR on your team, then the off-stat increase is probably better. If you have any low-level or R cards on your team, then they likely have terrible off-stat scores. I find that the two boosts are around the same for my teams, because most of my SR cards are unidolized.

Ah yeah, that's a point. I thought the ratio of main stat/off-stat would be the same regardless of whether they were idolized or not, but I've never actually paid attention to how much the off-stat increases with leveling and idolizing.

Oh ok. The team is all un idolized SR and the two UR so in just gonna stick Nico as leader then. I remember selling off all my lvl 40 garbage units cuz they were cluttering the space and now I'm frantically leveling up my URs to get them into singing shape lol.

They finally started releasing the EX charts for the new Dailies. Yume naki Yume wa Yume janai is pretty easy for an 11, but it's so far my favorite chart in SIF up to this point.

I spent about 20 gems to make sure I got to tier 1, Worth it I think. My 2 scout tickets got me R's and 50 gems got me a dupe Hanayo SR so I evod her right away. Now that they fixed the translation and changed "nico nico smile" to "nico nico nii~" I'm okay with spending money and gonna buy 100 gems and try to get the new UR Nico.

My wrist cried a little looking at the total combo number so I didn't even try. I can't even full combo the hard version, so there's no point stepping up until I've at least done that. Decided to spend a few stones on the last event and was surprised that I got away with only 5 or so for second tier, netting me a second Nico card. Not that I'll use her since I have better blues, but I might stone the next event too (which I usually don't) if getting second tier is that cheap. Or maybe the last event just wasn't very popular, who knows.

I did not get a UR nico  I did end up getting 3 SR cards that I didnt have and had enough scout coupons and I got a dupe kotori UR so now I have a level 100 blue UR!

Goddamn, playing this game is terrible after the last update. When I tap a circle during songs now there's a short, but very noticeable delay before the sound plays and it's seriously screwing up my timing. I almost failed several expert songs I usually have no problem with because I can't rely on the sound to adjust my timing anymore, because by the time the sound plays it's already too late to make any adjustments. I double checked the timing in the settings and the timing to get great/perfect seems unchanged, it's just the sound that plays late and it's really confusing. Restarting the phone just to make sure it wasn't anything there causing it didn't help either. Navigating the menus seems a little bit more sluggish too, for some reason.
