Judging by the copyright on the video, it was a couple of years after it was released. Reminds me of a pep ralley in high school where the cheerleaders danced and sang along to the Mortal Kombat song. in 1998.

The shoe he has on his left foot (his left) is one of a pair I had when I was 9. (I'm 33 now). I recently found out they re-released them and managed to get a pair. They're everything I remember them being and I've spent much time sat down just pumping them up and letting them down again. They were the perfect show to be wearing during boring school assembly. I remember my friend had bigger feet than I did so he had the 'adult' version and spent his time picking the ERS unit out of the heel... :/

In my music class, we brainstormed and rehearsed all kinds of things and one of the skits we did was a daytime court show and part of the skit was to get the people bleechers to start chanting "Brock! Brock!" in the same vein as the Jerry Springer Show (because that was the kid's name). This was in 1998. Jerry Springer touched a lot of lives.

So was Jerry Springer always fake or was it a normal talk show that sort of morphed into an insane parody with obviously fake and absurd stories over the years?

Its first three seasons were of a serious, political talk show. People like Jesse Jackson even guested on it. Though its fairly easy to get your stuff on bandcamp, but then you need a whole social media presence to drive people there. Back then you could get on the radio and even mtv with a video. By the way, I am still not clear what the hell the Keep Em Separated video was trying to say. GWBBQ posted:This bleeds over from the 80s when the justice system in the US literally engaged in witch hunts, and holy gently caress look at that guy's haircut. The really upsetting this is this poo poo was whole heartled accepted by a number of police forces, and people went to prison for crimes that they had no involvement in because the police were convinced of Satanic activity, and the weird kid who drew skulls on their notebook and liked Slayer became the suspect. See West Memphis Three. Other examples were guys like Rev. Mullet would show up at a town where a murder had taken place, and offer their help in finding the Satanists that did it. They'd do wonderful things like go to the murder scene and look for "occult signs" which to guys like this, is pretty much anything that is a cross, even then they can be satanic crosses. Thing is, often the police had their own investigation which pointed to something else, but these occult investigators would rile up the local church and demand action based on their bible thumping. I remember reading about a case where a young runaway was found in a shack in the woods, and it was obvious she had died of a heroin overdose, because she was little found with a needle still stuck in her arm and all the other signs said OD. Nope, these two occult investigators showed up and because there was graffiti of pentagrams, swastikas, ankhs, gently caress and poo poo and all kinds of the stuff kids spraypaint in places where people are going to see it, clearly it was a satanic sacrifice. They pretty much bullied the local cops into treating this like an occult murder and the cops had no choice but to investigate based on this occult belief. One of the dumb things that can happen when you're chief of police in elected official. I know this is 80s, but watch this for more glorious over reacting and amazing Christian Hair https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jrMoVWl5KA Steven CatFingers posted:These are back in Fall 2015 fashion. As mediocre and overwhelmingly Caucasian as a lot of it was, I'm glad we had Britpop* in the UK as I've always regarded American pop music from the 90s with a certain feeling of horror. I still remember seeing the video for Whatever by Oasis and being surprised there was music on TV that I didn't immediately despise. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnXrrOxzZCE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXs8zmfqXvg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkSl9GGOFHM That Ash video is as pure mid 90s as it gets. *Meaning mostly white boy guitar bands from 93-99 whose record collections were probably mostly stuff from the 60s and 70s.
