Convoy was okay. I got it for 5 bucks and nearly beat the game on normal on my first try. It's a lot like FTL though not quite as good.

lets get spooky
I think I would like A hardcore mode where gas runs out faster, theres less gas on the map, more sandstorms, enemies don't wait to gang up on you, snipers hit from further away, that sort of stuff. Gas really isnt as much as an issue as I wanted it to be, and sandstorms are really uncommon unless you go to the big empty? I think, haven't been out there much because theres a damage wall?

If there's a DLC I'd like to see Roadkill or Buzzards play a bigger role, mostly Roadkill though. Would be neat to start going through their hierarchy and offing the big guys like we did with Scrotus and his army.

Grinders and wheel armor of any sort will stop you from grappling off an enemy wheel. You have to completely knock off any armor on the part you want to tear off, otherwise it won't let you grab it.
Yeah, the problem is that there's nowhere in the game that says this. You just have to make guesses and it can be confusing sometimes, especially when you're driving.

Storms just seem super random, but I swear no matter how many times I've dealt with them, they are still a stressful mechanic. Fun, but stressful; especially if you just drive through it trying to dodge lightning and the wind is just whipping about.

Also I decided to make up just a personal hardcore mode and just tried to take down an oil transfer location without dealing with the snipers and perimeter defenses that could still get inside (like the thunderstick launchers), and that was pretty exciting. Seeing the flash of the sniper glare and thunderpoons raining down while I'm running around like a headless chicken trying to blow poo poo up myself.

They don't, I've had fights where I've had 3 guys swing on me at the same time and there's no way to multi-counter in this game. Sometimes you just gotta eat some shots.

]Beeb! How do you get rid of the lovely effect the game puts over those animations?

I like suplexing warboys off ledges. Sometimes if you time it right it looks like max just chucks them over the edge.

I've also managed to somehow parry the ferals pounce move; Max just grabs them midair and tosses them aside.

Things that feel overpowered in this game:

The Thunderpoon. Fully upgraded, it will instantly kill any regular vehicle (even fully armored) in the game. On top of that, they are very generous with ammo; right now I can hold 12 charges. This makes car combat rather trivial, particularly because you can thunderpoon enemies from quite far away and it seems like most enemy cars don't have any ranged abilities to fight you at those distances.

Things that feel underpowered: Side Burners and wheel grinders, when you can just thunderpoon them and be done with it. I feel like fire should be a DoT effect but I don't think it is at all; the residual fire effect is just for looks and you can't seem to set a car on fire only to have it drive off and explode later.

Sniper rifle upgrades seem pointless; sniper rifle is only needed to deal with snipers (assuming they're not on a tower you can just harpoon down). You can also shoot wheels/drivers of approaching vehicles.

Boarders are instantly countered by simply exiting the car. Boarders should be dangerous; it should lock you into a life-or-death battle you can't just tuck and roll out of. There should be more ways to deal with boarders other than spikes and quickfiring the shotgun.

Things that feel unfinished: Top Dogs, who all look like they have a placeholder model and the devs didn't have the time/budget to make 4 more unique boss fights. When talking to wastelanders, they'll mention each one has a weakness (fire, explosives, weapons, shivs) but I haven't noticed a big difference in damage. These fights are all also nearly identical, with the same attack patterns.

Fuel being a limited yet overly abundant thing. Fuel cans are more useful to blow up doors/gates than actual refueling. Fast travel means you're never going to worry about getting stranded anywhere without fuel.

Archangels; aside from being mission requirements and 'examples' of the customization you can do on the Magnum Opus, don't have much use.

New Game Plus; by the time you beat the game, even if you rushed through it, the Magnum Opus is going to be strong enough that most enemies won't be much of a threat. I wish the game took your Legend Level and threw enemies of a proportional challenge. Almost no enemy cars have ranged attacks, and the easier cars aren't any more numerous. What would've made the best sense is for Griffa to offer you a mission to enter your own 'plains of silence' which would be a new area devoid of strongholds/fast travel that is just crawling with enemy encampments, escorts, and war parties chomping to get at you. Then you could at least challenge yourself to vehicular carnage without using your success of the story (eliminating Scrotus' influence on the area) to hamstring your ability to pick fights with tough odds. I'd like to see encounters that are hard even if you've maxed out the Magnum Opus.

Stormchat: My first time I wussed out and hid at Jeet's. When I came out there were two megaloot crates just sitting in the sand at the bottom of the hill. My most recent one I was chasing some crates which blew right in front of one of the more heavily defended warcamps. Cue epic storm battle with the camp's defenses, it was rad as gently caress.

There are, you can shake them off by boosting and swerving or crashing into stuff. But yeah they're pretty much a non-threat.

Side Burners are so much more powerful then you guys are giving them credit. They don't do car damage, they do flesh damage, so if you line up with a car door and let loose, whoever is in the car will burn to death.

This makes them good on armored cars, because they ignore the armor.

I mean you lose out on the scrap from blowing up the car, but eh, sometimes you just want to get people off your rear end, and driving into the middle of 4-5 cars and burning everyone alive is the fastest method by far.

Not in my experience.

The third burners kill basically anything they touch extremely quickly. They also guzzle fuel like crazy.

So I ran into a nasty bug where the map key stopped working and not even quitting and restarting the game brought it back. A lot of people say triggering a cutscene is needed to fix it but I just drove to a balloon, got in a fight, and that did it. Maybe the cinematic camera on execution moves counts.

You can select a different autosave slot in the options menu. Whatever save you are on will use that save slot, allowing something like 10? Maybe? I have 3 saves right now that only overwrite themselves.
The game doesn't tell you this at all but that's how it works.
