Just got back from a second hand shop. 5 cameras - 5€. This is one of them. Anyone know which brand it might be / which brand it's knocking off? There's no writing on it aside from "Made in Hong Kong" and what you see on top. I guess there's some resemblance to the Konica pop. Also got a Nikon RF2, of which I just found a terrifying commercial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRq1aYeZxu0

Untitled by Simon Chetrit, on Flickr Been absolutely in love with my Fuji Natura S. Thing is a beast. 1600 at f/1.9 is kind of amazing. And the bizarre-o Natura 1600 film it uses is kind of awesome too, real glad to just know about in general. Really low grain for such a high speed film, and such nice, soft colors. Plus, she's a looker:

In the flash photos, is that just the on-camera light?

I really like your work and I wanna see if I can do something similar my X100S that you're doing here, but I think I'll need to find some scotch tape or something to soften the on camera flash.

the best part about the minox 35 gt is when you discover that despite it going "click" each time it only actually exposed two photos out of 36, and one of them was blurry

Played around with a 400 f/5.6 that I got from ebay. Was easier to use than I thought it would be. I wish the focus ring was looser though. That's probably fixable. White-breasted Cormorant by Paul Frederiksen, on Flickr Giraffe by Paul Frederiksen, on Flickr

I've got one of them and while it's a cool camera, it's a little to big to use like you would other point and shoot cameras. I've never been able to find batteries that are the right voltage/size for it which can be a pain if you want auto-exposure. I like the viewfinder/rangefinder though I've only an olympus XA (which has a crap rangefinder) and a GW690ii (which has a slightly nicer rangefinder than the Canon) to compare it to. It's a nice camera, I wish I used it more than I do but if I want something small I end up taking my XA instead as it fits in my pocket. crap nerd fucked around with this message at 14:10 on Dec 6, 2015 |

The best battery replacement for those discontinued old mercury 625's that the canonet uses are modern 675 zinc air hearing aid batteries and a couple rubber o-rings. You can get a pack of 10 for a few bucks at any drug store. They last maybe 6 months tops once the air seal is broken, though, but they are cheap so who cares. I use them with my Olympus 35 sp and the meter is spot on
