Wow I made someone so mad just now; I accidentally squidbagged a Level 50 kid when I got stuck in his ink and hit him with a panic Inkzooka. Well I guess he took it really personally 'cause from every match then on, he'd squidbag the hell out of me if he got me, which is fair enough. But if we were on the same team, he'd just stay in spawn and not move an inch... unless I got splatted, then he'd spam Nice! and squidbag the second I respawned. This wasn't just one match mind you, but several. Like holy hell, I've played TF2 since mid-2008 with 3000 hours and I've never had someone so salty that they'd actively not play the game to spite you.

None of those count because they all cater to the crowd of people who worship a pop-culture view of science where they ooh and aww at pictures of space and memorize the digits of pi when they wouldn't have the stones for real science which involves collecting data, formulating a conclusion from it, and defending your conclusion from colleagues during a peer-review process. Science owns but everyone knows real scientists are too drunk and busy for that XKCD or I loving Love Science clickbait pop science garbage Edit: Not to slag on Carl Sagan, Neil Degrasse Tyson, or Bill Nye as they did/do a great job of educating kids and inspiring them to pursue science or engineering as careers, but by necessity their shows involved a level of entertainment and simplification not found in real science BattleMaster fucked around with this message at 17:30 on Sep 13, 2015 |

Being excited about the results, promise, and mystery of science is part of science. Granted that Bill Nye didn't just quietly look through a microscope or run data analyses for 30 minutes, but that would have pretty well defeated the purpose of having a show. Every endeavour, absolutely including art, is often tedious to watch. The expression is "watching paint dry" not "watching astrophysicists correlate data points", after all.
