Pretty good episode. A plot was weak but had its moments, and the B plot more than made up for that.

That B plot developed pretty brilliantly. That was some good writing. also "GRANDPA RICK IS BAAAACK" as he axes through multiple clones of himself was great.

Best episode of the season, right there. E: Also really glad the B plot didn't pull the obvious "oh that was all actually exactly as planned!" reveal and just let it be.

I liked the "Coach Feratu" line a lot but the fact that they kept going with it was great. TINY RICK

Did Alex Hirsch play the vampire lord in the stinger?

Still snickering about "Coach Feratu". Also, props to the A plot for totally justifying it's existence at the last minute.

Over the course of this season everyone's been getting more and more used to Rick's interdimensional mad scientist adventures. Even Morty's classmates!

I love that the school's staff was apparently aware that Tiny Rick was an old man in a clone body and didn't care until he started killing people.
|
# ? Sep 14, 2015 05:14 |

Also, Tiny Rick's drawing of old rick was just Doc from Doc and Mharti.

I absolutely adore that the ending of the subplot about finding out that clones aren't just straight-up copies of the original but full-fledged beings with their own consciousness... is murdering all of the apparently-sentient clones.

I liked the different version of the Jerries as Jerry Prime began to defend his wife. The best was when he got all full of himself and the Jerries went from muscle men to regular Jerry with a shirt that has his own face on it. Later during the melee, they're standing in a line, congratulating themselves. I loved the B plot, too, because Tiny Rick rules.

Veskit posted:poo poo I wasn't expecting people to work on it, but igf you do I'll totally buy it. I kind of get a kick out of reducing gif sizes. I mean look at my av; that's 25k. There's a bunch of ways to go about it, and every image is different. Smallest I've gotten on this one so far was like 195k; but that was after culling half the frames (which loses some of Beth's hand shaking, but it looks like it'll be necessary). This one seems to be taking a lot of work, though; and I've got homework due soon, so I'll get back to it later.

Both plots were rad this episode but that was the best Beth-Jerry subplot so far and I don't see them doing a better 'we need to fix our marriage' thing than that was.

Man, that was a one incompetent couples therapy retreat. I don't know how it works in alien cultures, but on earth unhealthy codependent relationships are a dime a dozen. They really should have seen it coming. Great episode, Like everyone else has said the B-plot was stronger than the A-plot but I feel like the vampire stinger at the end made the whole A plot worthwhile (Coach Feratu).
