Liverpool have been gifted nearly all their points by bad ref decisions and have, with the exception of a few times the ball has bounced to Benteke in a good position, looked absolutely dire. Rodgers is a loving fraud and I'm enjoying his reign.

Saying that a man who reached a CL final and won 2 top tier league titles and 2 domestic cups is stretching it, no? Rodgers has (rightfully or wrongfully) gotten a lot of credit for a record of very few real accomplishments or trophies whereas Klopp has actually won things. You can maybe discount the Bundesliga a bit due to Bayern's dominance if you buy all the "Premier League is the best league" marketing nonsense, but I put a lot more stock in real trophies than winning a play-off final and a 2nd place league finish.

I can't imagine Ancelotti wanting the job. He's too smart for that.

You have to wonder what agents are saying to managerial candidates and players about FSG as owners too. John Henry has ceded most of the reins to Mike Gordon and Gordon needs to step his game up pretty quickly. The stadium development is a massive step in the right direction, but the controversy about requiring permits for flags on the Kop and this summer's confusing managerial shake-up can't be making them look good. The fact that FSG has sunk in more cash than many good Liverpool managers could have ever dreamed of makes things extra frustrating.

Agree with all of this to be fair.

On that note...

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/sep/13/chelsea-jose-mourinho-roberto-martinez-everton-chelsea posted:

Mourinho was incensed that Martínez conducted the first post-match press conference in the media room at Goodison when, as the away manager, he had expected to begin the inquest into Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat before joining his players on the waiting team coach.

The Everton manager was hosting a separate, customary briefing with national newspaper journalists on a concourse outside the media room, and away from the television cameras, when Mourinho approached en route to his press conference. He interrupted Martínez’s discussion to say: “Roberto, Roberto, next time tell me to go before you because we have to travel.”

His opposite number replied: “I don’t control that, José. I don’t control that.” To which an exasperated Mourinho shouted: “loving hell,” before walking off.

With the Chelsea manager gone, Martínez, cup of coffee in hand, said: “When he beat us 6-3 last season he was such a nice man. I prefer him like that.”

Jose has gone full Keegan and I love it

Bad news. They're apparently really good friends now since the England vs rest of the World charity match last year. Won't see any deliberate antagonism anymore

Mourinho is only entertaining when he's in a league you don't care about. Otherwise he's just a whiny baby if his team isn't in 1st place (and sometimes even when they are!).

Pellegrini is really boring but I kinda like that. It was funny though when he got mad at Pardew for walking through his technical area to tell the ref that Yaya should be sent off.

He started off alright and the fact that his miss against Crystal Palace had such a big impact on people's memories is more of a tribute to Rodgers' defensive flaws than anything else.

Bad form from top 4 (minus Chelsea) last season:

6 points in 6 matches (city)
7 points in 6 matches (arsenal)
5 points in 6 matches (united)

Chelsea are absolutely awful currently, but it's being magnified because it's the start of the season and Mou is going bonkers even more than usual.
