Hard is fine on a clean save (well, clean-ish - I didn't carry across levels or equipment). Towards the end it gets a bit more tricky but still reasonable enough,. Magic becomes a lot more powerful than physical in the final dungeon. I tried Nightmare on a everything-carries-over run and it was also fine until near the end, when it got to be pretty annoying. Physical attacks become really lousy compared to magical ones. I was considering doing a "clean-ish" run on Nightmare, but I probably should not.

Tancients got in contact with SkyeWelse and apparently they're continuing the Zwei2 project. Check the comments on the most recent bofgames news. I can post the most recent thread on it when I get home. edit: HoL thread is here. Heh, Cold Steel's kinda infamous for ending on a horrible cliffhanger and the sequel won't be out for at least a year, but XSeed figured that wasn't cruel enough, so they're including an art book featuring both games just to twist the knife a little bit for those who are trying to avoid spoiling themselves. You think resisting the temptation to look stuff up on TV-tropes is bad? Wait until there's an actual art book taunting you for the better part of a year. :P

I'm p. certain they are going to be very careful about CS2 spoilers in the artbook. There's only one really big spoiler for CS1 that could be in the artbook anyway. Anyhow that is a swag as all hell collector's edition, I may have to throw down some money for that.

Higher than zero, but very unlikely. Apparantly QA either hasn't started yet or is in the early stages for Cold Steel while SC's QA is nearing the end. Both Tom and Brittany mentioned that both games are still on schedule and SC will definitely come out well before Cold Steel. While Murphy's Law has been extremely persistent regarding this project, their optimism is refreshing, since Tom's previous words on the status of the game was more wary.
