Bad EXP received

Nah, I had the same bug. I think it's related to playing as Luffy, because they played as normal when I was anyone else. You wouldn't have run into it since 100%ing the map requires you to not play as him.

How come some treasure events are fully listed the first time you do a map, and sometimes they aren't? gently caress you Punk Hazard map, "Rescue ??? before fighting ???" is really helpful.

I got 2 and 3 while playing as Luffy, I know that much.

The White Dragon posted:

e: how do I get the "strong enemy" coins? I unlocked Shanks and now I get them when I do the islands that give you new characters when you clear them, but I don't seem to get them anywhere else.

I just cleared the final island (Fujitora is a broke-rear end bastard) and I guess that made a new set of guys appear in the Dream Log. I got the Pirate Hunter Zoro coin for beating Fujitora back up (I want to keep my broke-rear end bastard) so I guess that's how. The Nightmare Log also has its own duders but that place is full of tough guys who scare me.

What's the verdict on Samurai Warriors 4-II? It's coming out soon and I've missed the past releases of Samurai Warriors.

The Capcom lawsuit benefits us all, since SW4-II doesn't require the old game to play as old characters!

But it also doesn't carry over anything earned in the base game, which is going to be a deal-breaker for a lot of people who do own it.

Don't lose your head over it.
I wonder what they were thinking releasing SW4-2 one month after One Piece and two weeks before Dragon Quest. They have not announced a western release of SW4:Empires yet, have they? I am much more interested in it and hope 4-2's probable flop is not held against Empires.

This means there's no actual way they'd do a Power Rangers Warriors game, right? Because suddenly that's all I want. I don't know anything about Kamen Rider, but I'd love to see Mighty Morphin' Dynasty Warriors.

Super Sentai isn't as popular as KR in Japan.

Infinity Gaia

KR is also WAY easier to convert into a Musou game. Having every character from a single Sentai be its own character seems faintly pointless and would lead to significant character overload, but only having a single one per series would kinda be against the idea of Sentai. Maybe some sort of team mechanic would need to be implemented.

Or they could just say gently caress it and make it a Gokaiger game.

0% chance.

Super Sentai Warriors is far more likely due to being the actual Japanese source material and even that probably won't happen for reasons already listed. Though, I will be honest, I would buy the hell out of a Gokaiger Warriors game.

They could make it like gauntlet mode in WO3: Ultimate, a team of 5 would be prefect for Power Rangers Musou. I would play the hell out of that :getin:

Public Service Announcement: Smoker's light-light-light-light-heavy attack is easy mode for Nightmare Islands. It's Logia-type, knocks Hero Mode enemies off their feet, and every hit counts as a finisher for the purposes of knocking shocked guys out of Hero Mode. The only drawback is that it's kind of junk for generating Kizuna.

Hey, folks. Thinking about picking up Sphere of Influence but unsure whether to get it for the PC or for the PS3 (I don't have PS4 or Vita). I have a feeling that I would play it a lot more on my laptop since I'm on it more than I am on the PS3, but my laptop is a little old so I'm not sure how well it will run on my computer.

I have Windows 7 running via Bootcamp on a MacBook Pro. 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB memory, Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB.

Minimum requirements are Pentium 4 1.6Ghz, 1 GB RAM, VRAM 128MB over. The suggested requirements are Core2 Duo 2.9 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, VRAM 512 MB over.

Thanks

The best easy mode is Fujitora's R1 attack. It's easy to charge and it drops a meteor that is as big and damaging as a kizuna rush special attack. You can even power it up with the skills that increase charge speed and raise the damage from character actions.

The first time I started using it, I got 8k kos easily.

Speaking of which, the escort AI in Pirate Warriors 3 seems to be a huge step back from the improvements I noticed around DW7. We're back to allies that will stop to fight anything they come across, and then wander off course to fight other things that come within its aggro range.

I ended up reloading about a dozen times for the Jozu mission in the first Marineford battle before just giving up on it altogether.

I'm guessing the answer is no, but is there any way to speed up the character chatter? I'm in the Dream Log right now and sometimes I'll clear 2-3 missions with a single Kizuna Attack and then I'm waiting around for 30 seconds or more until all of the dialogue for those missions plays out.

Are you talking about the mini cutscene chatter or the in game chatter? The former has an option you can set to automatically skip the ones you have seen. The later, I think you will just have to deal with.

There's both types of AI in the game. That Jozu vs. Mihawk one is purposefully set so you have to clear the way yourself, otherwise there would be no objective to complete. In most situations the AI does whatever it needs to do.

For whatever reason, Dynasty Warriors 8 is a game for PlayStation VR. Also Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13 was at Sony's TGS conference but no gameplay footage was shown.

What they did show was Ni-Oh, the PS3 launch game that's been in development for 11 years, and now it's a PS4 game that's essentially a Feudal Japanese Dark Souls starring Geralt and Navi.

Turn the difficulty up so that you are killing enemies more between missions.

NANI?

The only time I ever ran out of time in a Warriors game was the stage where you had to escort Nobunaga to the escape point in the first Samurai Warriors. He would stop and fight every single enemy in the way so you had to basically clear the path out totally before he would move on.

I've found that the trick for most escort missions is to run so that the target is out of the draw distance, because excepting the really early ps2 games they don't fight anything if they're off screen.

My method was:

Wu Battle of Itsukushima, Easy. Hop on Red Hare. One-shot every officer on the way north. Circle around to the east and one-shot every office on the way south. Finish off Kiyomori. Repeat forever. Alternatively, you could probably just Sun Jian-R1 suicide to Kiyomori and restart.
