In spite of the deliberately incendiary title, the essayist explores some thought-provoking issues concerning Islam. It's a long but well written piece, one that by no means is politically correct. Penned by a man born in Alexandria, Egypt to what he calls an average Muslim family, he began a "long journey of seeking the truth" and was unable to "reconcile the prescriptions for domination, violence, and slavery" of Islam.

Here's are several brief excerpts from the article but I recommend clicking the link to read it in its entirety.

Trump's response met with immediate backlash. He didn't correct the questioner's incorrect assertion about Obama's religion and, further, suggested that his administration was "going to look at that." Trump's campaign insisted that the "that" they'd be looking at wasn't getting rid of Muslims -- but rather, those alleged training camps.
...
So why the conspiracy theories? Because that's how conspiracy theories work. Conspiracy Web sites often point out how close to New York City Islamberg is -- even though it's really not very close at all. It's far enough away that Brooklynites see it as a refuge from the city's noise and activity. Mahmoudberg is "right down the road from the Bay City nuclear power plant," a commenter at TexasBowHunter.com points out. In a response to Trump's comments, a commenter at FreeRepublic.com points to the 2006 arrest of Muslims near Virginia -- right near "the Virginia Muslim cemetery [where] the Chechen who bombed Boston was buried." We're through the looking glass here, people.

There's no question that there exist places in the country where there are people organizing and plotting to harm the United States. Some might be motivated by faith. Are those plots being fomented at Islamville and Islamberg? Should Trump, on his first day in office as president, send law enforcement to root out the threat?

Well, law enforcement near Islamberg, in the person of Deputy Sheriff Dumont, doesn't seem to worried. And as for Mahmoudberg? The reason it's a focus of conspiracy theories is because of an FBI report.

Meaning that it's probably safe to assume that any nefarious activity -- if any evidence of some is found -- isn't escaping the notice of the authorities.

Even though Muslims can lie about Islam as a religious duty - having that oath would allow prosecution and expulsion if a Muslim ever shows any pro Sharia sentiment.

Does the Army even order units to go to gay pride events like that?

Every time my unit had an opportunity to do that it was a volunteer thing. "Hey let your sergeant know if you want to go be the honor guard for this thing. You get out of work for a day and you get to hang out at the parade/see the football game/watch the concert/whatever after you do your march", but maybe other units are different.

When we had some army dudes at the last Pride thing I was at that was the case. Their CO just said 'hey you wanna hang out at this parade, it's a gay thing FYI but there's beer and last time we did it they didn't mind slipping us some freebie drinks so there's that' and let people sign up. I really can't imagine anyone being told they HAD to march in a parade.

Yeah exactly. That was always great. You got paid to strut around, you didn't have to do any poo poo work, and if you were standing around after the parade people came up and thanked you for being you rather than asking you why you've got all this time to do nothing when there are cigarette butts that aren't being picked up.

I love this idea that the military treats pfc's with such dignity and respect that a parade is somehow beneath them. "Ugh I could be scrubbing poo poo off of latrine toilet seats on Ft Hood right now, thanks Obama"

It's not that so much as gay men being an anathema to a Freeper's pre-concieved gender roles. Even more so than religion, the reason why gays are so hated is because the fly into the fundamental notion that men like men. Gay men don't like women so therefore they must be some bizzare anti-man that embodies the exact opposite of what they think a man should be. That's why Freepers go on about the "pussification" of the military because they can't fathom a gay man(or a woman, or trans person, or whatever) being a tough, badass soldier.

Freepers imagine that Obama just decreed "fetch me an unfortunate Marine so that I might debase him", but in reality, that young Corporal busted his rear end to get the job of holding the umbrella for the world's most powerful man, and he's probably proud to be there.

I mean, look at it this way: there are a lot of shady motherfuckers that joined the Marine Corps. This guy, on the other hand, is trusted to be hovering his arm over The President's head. He has a TS/SCI security clearance with lifestyle polygraph by, probably, his early twenties.

Foreigners who want to become U.S. citizens don’t have to change their attitudes or beliefs, President Barack Obama said in a video aimed at convincing migrants to pursue American citizenship.

“It’s not about changing who you are, it’s about adding a new chapter to your journey… and to our journey as a nation of immigrants,” Obama narrates in his two-minute video urging almost 9 million resident migrants to sign up for citizenship so they can vote in 2016.

Obama’s deputies will award citizenship to 36,000 over the next few days.

But federal law — and reality — contradicts Obama’s progressive-style denial of Americans’ sophisticated, evolved and unique society, and contradicts his support for a chaotically diverse “nation of immigrants” devoid of any unique and shared loyalties and obligations.

“I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen,” says the first sentence of the citizenship oath.

Eta: here's the link to the original - http://garrisongraphics.blogspot.com/2015/09/the-trump-tango.html?m=1

The only thing different is that the wall says "wallflowers" instead of "cuckservatives", and quite frankly, given the theme of the comic, "cuckservatives" is just a more openly hateful way of saying exactly what Garrison implying here.

Edit 2: also my phone now recognizes "cuckservatives" as a word in autocorrect so gently caress his whole forum for having made me type that repeatedly

I was just about to turn in, samtheman, but caught your message and felt that I owe you the courtesy of a reply, albeit a quick one. I too hate islam with a burning intensity. The reason I dig in my heels and defend the Irving ISD on this matter is that they demonstrated that muzzies are under suspicion. As as for the PD, the article claims:

They led Ahmed into a room where four other police officers waited. He said an officer he’d never seen before leaned back in his chair and remarked: “Yup. That’s who I thought it was.”

Whether or not that account is factual is not germane to my point. The perception ought to be among all muzzies in this Republic that they're being constantly watched and not trusted. Yes, treated differently. Profiled. Dare I say discriminated against.

My hope is that incidents such as this make them wake up and realize they are simply not wanted here. In short, my dream is their day-to-day lives suffer what they perceive to be insults and humiliations. Ultimately, they'll get the message that they are not welcome in America because, frankly, they're not.

Apologies in advance because this time, for sure, I'm heading off to bed. I don't normally post and run but must due to the hour. I'll be back around in about eight hours and, if you wish, we can engage later. So again, good night and/or good morning!

As well as saying that there is nothing to fear from Obama, McCain also said the Obama would make a good president.

As another poster stated up thread, that was the turning point for anyone with conservative Constitutional Republic values and outlook.

It started becoming obvious when McCain’s handlers started stifling Sarah Palin shortly after her great speech.

I did vote for Sarah. Sarah and the old guy.

It was a wrap after that, the eGOP and all the leftist liberals did everything they could to make sure Obama was elected AND reelected.

Romney gave it to Obama too.

If you look it up on the net, all it takes for one to become a muslim is to recite some words:

“Becoming a Muslim is a simple and easy process. All that a person has to do is to say a sentence called the Testimony of Faith (Shahada), which is pronounced as:

I testify “La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”

These Arabic words mean, “There is no true god (deity) but God (Allah), and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God.” Once a person says the Testimony of Faith (Shahada) with conviction and understanding its meaning, then he/she has become a Muslim.”

That’s it, nothing else required. I’ll bet everything I own that obama has said those words. Therefore, in the eyes of islam, obama is muslim.

Now look up taqiyya, for why islam permits obama to lie about it.

Scientists Ask Obama To Prosecute Global Warming Skeptics

quote:

dailycaller ^ | 9/17/2015 | Michael Bastasch
Posted on 9/19/2015, 9:43:11 PM by MarvinStinson

The science on global warming is settled.

In fact, so settled that 20 climate scientists are asking President Barack Obama to prosecute people who disagree with them on the science behind man-made global warming.

Scientists from several universities and research centers even asked Obama to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) to prosecute groups that “have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change, as a means to forestall America’s response to climate change.”

RICO was a law designed to take down organized crime syndicates, but scientists now want it to be used against scientists, activists and organizations that voice their disagreement with the so-called “consensus” on global warming. The scientists repeated claims made by environmentalists that groups, especially those with ties to fossil fuels, have engaged in a misinformation campaign to confuse the public on global warming.

“The actions of these organizations have been extensively documented in peer-reviewed academic research and in recent books,” the scientists wrote.

But these riled up academics aren’t the first to suggest using RICO to go after global warming skeptics. The idea was first put forward by Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, who argued using RICO was effective at taking down the tobacco industry.

“In 1999, the Justice Department filed a civil RICO lawsuit against the major tobacco companies… alleging that the companies ‘engaged in and executed — and continue to engage in and execute — a massive 50-year scheme to defraud the public, including consumers of cigarettes, in violation of RICO,’” Whitehouse wrote in the Washington Post in May.

“We strongly endorse Senator Whitehouse’s call for a RICO investigation,” the scientists wrote to Obama. “The methods of these organizations are quite similar to those used earlier by the tobacco industry. A RICO investigation (1999 to 2006) played an important role in stopping the tobacco industry from continuing to deceive the American people about the dangers of smoking.”

“If corporations in the fossil fuel industry and their supporters are guilty of the misdeeds that have been documented in books and journal articles, it is imperative that these misdeeds be stopped as soon as possible so that America and the world can get on with the critically important business of finding effective ways to restabilize the Earth’s climate, before even more lasting damage is done,” the scientists added.

This year has been a trying one for global warming skeptics. Earlier this year, Democratic lawmakers began an investigation into scientists who disagreed with the White House’s stance on global warming. Many of these skeptical scientists were often cited by those critical of regulations to curb greenhouse gas emissions.

Arizona Democratic Rep. Raul Grijalva went after universities employing these researchers, which resulted in one expert being forced to get out of the field of climate research altogether.

“I am simply not initiating any new research or papers on the topic and I have ring-fenced my slowly diminishing blogging on the subject,” Dr. Roger Pielke Jr. of the University of Colorado wrote on his blog.

“Congressman Grijalva doesn’t have any evidence of any wrongdoing on my part, either ethical or legal, because there is none,” Pielke wrote. “He simply disagrees with the substance of my testimony – which is based on peer-reviewed research funded by the US taxpayer, and which also happens to be the consensus of the IPCC (despite Holdren’s incorrect views).”

They accuse others of pandering to special interests, but they are pandering to the political establishment to keep their career’s going. Oh look, a stream of consciousness rant that barely makes any sense!

quote:

To: MarvinStinson
Why is man-made climate change occuring? Because modern science tells us so! When the first railroads were built before the Civil War, the scientists of the daay warned of the dangers of rail travel, saying the human body cannot withstand sustained speeds above 30MPH. I’m sure Jeff Gordon and Chuck Yeager would have a good laugh over that one. At the Baseball Hall of Fame they have an excellent exhibit on the history of the old Negro Leagues. One artifact I remember was an excerpt from a medical journal from the 1940’s that argued against integrating the major leagues because Blacks were athletically INFERIOR to Whites. This is what “settled” modern science told us a relatively short 70 yrs ago. Obviously, Jackie Robinson, Willie Mays, Roy Campanella, Elston Howard, Ernie Banks, Reggie Jackson, etc never received that memo. Which gives us another reason to question, if not outright ridicule the notion of ACW. Whether it was the ugly spectacle of racism, or the need to advance a socio-political agenda by any means necessary, how the sceince can be skewed by factors unrelated to the subject matter at hand. Figures don’t lie, but liars can figure. The findings of these so-called scientists, who are so fanatical they demand the imposition of RICO laws on those who disagree are as meaningful as Bill Gates issuing a strong buy recommendation on Microsoft.

The scientists who knew they had come up with something that on balance was good were not afraid to demonstrate it, warts and all, to a candid world. And there were problems with some early vaccines but in large part they were corrected. Nothing is total unalloyed good on earth, and nobody of good conscience will represent anything as such.

What we have is a bunch of hoodoo here, a con game, a veritable religion that can’t even explain what hope it has within it because it is not offering hope, it is offering doom and gloom. It is the secular equivalent of the preacher that specializes in all hellfire.

It goes on and on with more of the same into a second page. I'll close out with this gem:
