Yeah I used to rag on the nhl Ai after every release but after playing Fifa for a while I don't bother. Fifa must have at least ten time the budget of nhl but the Ai still constantly does dumb stuff.

Everybody knows that. I remember from Nhl 10 or whatever days that putting human player with cpu players completely messed their game. I just thought Nhl Ai was bottom of the barrel in effort, but turns out it's not that bad.

The AI is still terrible but just from watching a game for a minute on the bench or as a goalie in BAP, you can see that it's noticeably better than it was a few years ago. Then again, I haven't really played since NHL12 or 13, so I might just not remember.

Can we update the OP to get a list of all the goon teams on ps4 and bone...if there is even a bone group out there. I know of RGR and our team, DAD (Stop hitting us dad). I'd be nice to know if we come across another goon crew.

Thats pretty funny, I like that. The CPU D man getting pinned behind the net off the face off is ultra predictable by now - I'm pretty convinced its supposed to be the AI trying to start a breakout and getting overwhelmed by pressure from human players. Its pretty easy to counter though. If I'm the board side winger I'll just skate to the corner and call for the pass before he reaches the boards, or if I'm the slot side winger I just skate to the opposite corner and do the same. Seems to avoid it most of the time. Conversely if its an attacking faceoff, both wingers need to be driving from both sides to retrieve the puck, center goes to the slot, pass out, goal.

Do BaP defensemen still make shift changes at literally THE worst possible times? Cause I love to playin D but the guys in NHL 14 would just gently caress off in the middle of the opposing team's breakout, the other team would wind up with a 3 on 1, I'd get one foot on the ice and the puck would be in our net.

I only know this because the broken 16 EASHL beta wouldn't let me play as my standard Thunderhorse Z name because it had a space in it (great coding EA) So I had to make a different account and use it for the rest of the beta.

If you have one account with PS+, other accounts on the system can play online as if they have PS+ even if they do not. So you should be able to set up a second PSN account on your PS4 and participate in EASHL as an entirely new player. Since there is no unlocking of cards and stats and poo poo, this is now a feasible option with no real consequences aside from splitting your stats and badges. Someone try it and confirm.

That doesn't make any sense because I played 3 player online RL on the same console. 2 of us had PS+ and the other guy did not. He had to have an actual PSN account and not just a local guest account, but it let him in to the games.

When it happened with us, he had to create a PSN account on my PS4 and the get the PS+ free trial in order to access the online features. When he just created the guest account and attached it to the PSN he registered, it wouldn't let us join any online matches; it didn't work until he got the PS+ trial.
