I thought the SSD was off being repaired for like 3 years because they hosed it up pretty hard in Bacta War.

Yeah chronology wise, the lusankya was not used in the attack in book 8 (mentioned specifically, this is how wedge finds out about it), which was strictly after the Thrawn books.

The hype its getting is Phantom Menace level, Indiana Jones Skull level, loving Order 1886 level. It may be watchable, just not the second coming of Skywalker. Yeah, that red R2 unit was a force sensitive droid somehow. It sensed how important the R2-D2/Luke relationship was to saving the galaxy and blew its own motivator when chosen so that the Skywalkers would buy R2-D2 instead, setting into motion pretty much all the events later to take place in the entire SW universe.

Skippy the Jedi Droid was in a comic book and was actually good and cool b/c the writer was pretty clearly taking the piss out of the incestuous and dumb attitude of "every character who was on screen for a handful of seconds was Very Important with an absurdly detailed backstory that ties into the big galactic struggle."

If there is one bit of Eu that Doesnt make me cringe it's Star Wars Tales, in fact thats all I want from any star wars EU, anthology style random short stories about the crazy rear end universe, not more crap like Quinlan Vas; badass Jedi, more badass than Johnny 5 Aces himself.

The fact that EU nerds write unironic articles about skippy the droid and have a page on wookieepedia about breast in star wars pretty much sums it all up. When I first heard about all that I cringed really hard they don't realize how pathetic they look to normal people. Someone told me even they were having mental breakdowns because disney declared all EU stuff non canon. It doesn't surprise me in the least after hearing about wookieepedia.

but the wiki is supposed to be what happens in star wars fiction not about star wars as Actual Events That Happened like no one keeps an article about a movie that takes place in a future year in future tense and then change tenses once that year comes and goes.
