In better news, NoE figured out what people want. The Squid Amiibo is getting a standalone release on November 20. Edit: if you see an Octoling stay in the lobby until that player leaves, then keep playing. What causes the soft-lock is the game trying to load the Octoling in the Inkopolis Plaza. They patched the Maka Wuhu exploit in Mario Kart 7 (it let you skip a huge section of the one-lap track, making it nearly unplayable over WiFi unless you also used the glitch).

Nintendo has patched exploits like Judd giving a refund for Spyke, or the sequence breaking in Arowana Mall. Also there's precedent for them fixing save corruption bugs and recovering broken saves in Pokemon X/Y. I'm sure they'll fix it, but what I'm not sure of is if they know about it and how long it will be. Nintendo doesn't really have a way to report these things as far as I know. Edit: Is there a way to make backups of my save just in case this or something else happens?

You might be able to copy it to a usb, the initial bug post mentions it corrupted their USB save. Edit: Here's a guide that shows how, you'll have to format the USB first. I wasn't going to play tonight anyway. My internet is pretty well occupied downloading another game and even if it wasn't, this late at night means I'd be playing against the Japanese and lag alone makes that really annoying. That said, I can't imagine the chances of running into that guy are astronomically high given how many people play this game and it's probably some dumb kid who figured out how to get it in the game and doesn't know any better, so hopefully they'll just stop, but I still hope Nintendo fixes it pretty soon. By releasing everything early.

This is a really open-ended question but... Any tips for getting better with other weapons? Luna Blaster has gotten me to A Rank, but I've kinda capped out here. I feel like I can probably get up to A+ with time, but the Luna Blaster is the ONLY weapon I can have any success with in ranked. I can sometimes do well with the Sploosh-O-Matic or the Octobrush, depending on the map, but the Luna Blaster is my only real fallback. Using only it is getting really boring, as I really like having variety, but anytime I try any other weapon I just lose 40 ranked points and get frustrated and can't even win with the Luna Blaster at that point. I can win just fine in unranked with whatever, but the lack of game mode variety there bores me in a different fashion. I'm kinda getting to the point where I don't really wanna play, since it seems I either use just the Luna Blaster or I lose.

Does anybody here read/speak Japanese? I was being a gigantic goofball on Warehouse using an Inkbrush a couple of days ago along with an Octobrush and another squid, they added me to friends but I was sort of wondering what their messages said haha.  EDIT: ^^^Oh sweet, one of my favourite things to do when I'm being lazy is to get the Aerospray or .52 Gal, stay in one spot on one of the flatter maps and just chuck Seekers at everyone. I think the scenario the first guy mentioned, he was on the enemy team and having a squid party with me and the Octobrush, a teammate came and splatted him, then the Octobrush and I spent the rest of the match slapping that teammate around for being so rude. Being a doof once in a while just makes me love this game.

That's definitely what he's talking about. I'd assumed y'all were all on the same team which made his particular use of honorifics a little weird, didn't occur to me he was an enemy combatant.
