For you fine goony folk who are following "Fangs," the web comic, I've put together a big-rear end 167-page PDF of all ten parts, complete with some nice formatting and an author's note and everything, real official-like. It's like an actual graphic novel! I'm guessing it's (1). Edit: well colour me impressed, it is an elite comic.

Requested complete refund of Star Citizen account.. Trying to decide what to do with it. Should I buy the wife something nice? Or should I buy a new SSD and reinstall Elite? Or should I buy a hotas setup (CH) and trash my Logi Extreme 3D? Or should I put a down payment on a VR headset.. Choices.. >.<

Last I checked, a couple of months ago, I had a fully kitted DBE with about 8 million left in the bank. I'd been planning to pull an ATT and go scratch my rear end across the galaxy but couldn't bring myself to just jump/scan/jump/scan/jump/scan for hours on end. ATT is truly a great scholar and goon. That being said, Horizons has me interested in returning if only so I can drag a rover with me to break up the monotony and grab some badass screenshots from the surface of planets in systems with black holes.

Yeah, I'm thinking about getting at least the CH stick after looking at it and hearing a lot of good things, might get the throttle too, it's nice that you can buy them seperately.

So I upgraded my PC to Win10 from Win7 this past weekend and E:D would not recognise my CH HOTAS. Windows saw it fine, and I could calibrate it etc, but E:D didn't give me the option of 'Generic Joystick' in the Controls menu, and it didn't recognise any inputs when I tried to map it. I managed to fix it, so if anyone else comes across the same problem here's what worked for me. 1. Unplug the Stick & Throttle 2. Uninstall CH Control Manager 3. Restart Windows 4. Plug in the Stick & Throttle 5. Let windows install the drivers 6. They should now be usable in E:D biglads fucked around with this message at 20:05 on Sep 30, 2015 |

I bought an $11 google cardboard off Amazon Prime just to dick around with it. Anyway, I got it all set up and decided to try it out with Elite, because I've been dying to try VR for a long time and I can't wait to buy a Vive in a few months. Holy poo poo Wow. The resolution is crap so I can't read half the text, but it's otherwise SO. INCREDIBLY. IMMERSIVE. I love it!

Just stumbled across this post detailing damage mechanics on the dev tracker, thought I might share. Well, trip report for CQC with Oculus Rift DK2 + X52-Pro setup. My god, it's pretty fun and it's really making me wish there was a more purpose-build game that does this. But on the other hand it feels like once you get targeted, you're hosed in 5-10s unless one of your team-mates picks them off you. And nobody else has setup their microphones it would seem

Right, so with my Eagle, I can pretty much kill anything that doesn't have turrets. It's pretty easy to sit behind something in an Eagle and just carve it up. As long as you're patient that is... So I think it's time I upgraded to something that has turrets. Suggestions?

Get my rear end into an Eagle and suddenly things start dying. Unless the ship has something that can shoot behind it, I'm able to blow up pretty much everything. I haven't thought about using a Chaff launcher. How long does the "Chaff" effect last? I'd hate to start taking on big ships and then get halfway through the fight and have no chaff left...
