Suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

I love biergarten but we don't care for the seating. I get the idea but we haven't had much luck with the people they stick us with. Being that it's usually just the two of us, having to sit with a whole family just feels really weird and intrusive.

Drink more. Seriously. Being half-in-the-bag is the ground state for enjoying any German beer hall.

Ya. They're good, but a little unrealistically priced.

Going to Disneyland for the first time in 21 days! Very excited. We've been to Disney World several times, but this will be first time at the 'land.

Anything to try or experience? We only have 2 days.

Already made reservations at Carthay Circle and Blue Bayou for lunch.

Ladies.
Blue Bayou is a really nice experience, but the food is not great. I had the pasta and it was pretty bad; if I go again, I'm sticking with something safe like a sandwich or burger. Get there a few minutes before you normally would and request a table on the water. I think they ask you to show up like 15 or 20 minutes ahead of time...get there 30 ahead if you want to ask for a special table. We did that last time and it was worth it.

Have fun!

If you have reservations for Carthay Circle you might get Fast Passes for World of Color in California Adventure I don't know if they still do that. But i think World of Color is pretty great and you should try to see it if possible. If you don't get Fast Passes from the meal you can get them at a kiosk near Grizzly River Rapids. They also added Fast Passes for Fantasmic in Disneyland. I think the Fantasmic show is better in DL than DW, but the seating is better in DW. Standing room only in DL.

Off the top of my head, in 21 days Halloween decorations should still be up. Haunted Mansion will have the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay up, and Space Mountain will have the Ghost Galaxy overlay up. If I had to pick between the two I think Haunted Mansion has the better overlay.

I believe it has been mentioned before in this thread but Pirates is longer and has an extra scene or two in DL. Indianan Jones runs the same ride system / track as Dinosaur but I think the Indy theme is better.

They recently updated three of the rides in Fantasy Land Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan's flight both have some new technology in them, I think Alice got the better of the two upgrades. Matterhorn also got some upgrades that are nice but that ride can be a little polarizing, I personally love it but its rough and can be uncomfortable for tall people. If you have the time try to ride Matterhorn at night during the fireworks, The ride is inside and outside the mountain and the fireworks are almost right above you.

Disneyland still has Mr. Toads Wild Ride. DL also has Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin, I don't believe they have that in DW.

If you go to Blue Bayou and *don't* get the Monte Cristo you aren't living right.

Also worth the extra wait time to sit by the water. Wave at the people in the boats. I was once escorted out of the park because someone asked for something to eat and I threw him a roll. They frowned on that.

Hi thread! I asked for a weeklong trip to Disney World for my 30th birthday and it looks like I might get my wish. It looks like February might be when the stars align. I am very intrigued by the Disney travel agent stuff, I really don't know much about how it works, but is it possible to call them and get advice, arrange everything, and then basically have them send the bill elsewhere? This will be my first visit as an adult, I'm a Disneyland annual passholder but I haven't been to Orlando since I was six and I don't remember it at all. Guise I am so excited, please advise on how to select a hotel. What else do I need to know/think about? I am trying to read the OP but I am tooooo excited.

PM or email Braksgirl (her email is a page or so back) and just lay out all your questions. I booked a trip I'm taking in Nov with her and it has been, by far, the best experience planning a vacation I've ever had.

Hotels depend entirely on how much everyone loves you and are willing to spend. Make sure they're aware that if they'll only shell out for a value resort they clearly don't love you much, and that you will burn all their things in retribution. Regardless, I would just strongly recommend staying on property. I did my first trip staying on property, decided to save some money my second trip and stayed off property, and had such a sub-optimal experience I'm going back to a Disney owned hotel this trip.

There are a ton of resources out there to help you decide what would end up being best, but a travel agent can certainly listen to your situation and provide recommendations based on what exactly you're looking for. e: and they don't charge you, so it doesn't cost you a dime extra versus booking yourself on the website, and Braks managed to save me ~$300 by jumping on a discount the minute it was released to the public months after I booked.

Just did a three day hopper pass with family at DL. Phone posting, so here's a quick summary

-the all you can eat ribs and chicken is great.
-HHN will sell out early. We didn't go
-world of color splash zone isn't that bad. Just misty.
-fantasmic didn't play, but it's my favourite show and it sucks that I missed it
-space mountain is Halloween themed
-get fast passes for cars ride
-The Aladdin live show is underrated and I've seen it five times in three visits

It's pretty awesome but way within the 180 dining reservation window, i've tried to make dining reservations with WDWtools twice a day every day for the past couple of weeks with no luck. Is there anything that will improve my chances or am i SOL?

I used WDWTools during my trip and found people cancel like crazy a few days before or the day of. It's not a perfect fix but there's definitely a chance you can eat at what you want as long as you pay attention to getting text messages during your stay.

For Florida Rsident AP's this new and improved pass sucks balls. You pay an extra ten bucks a month in our case and have a month of blackout dates in return for a lovely Photopass neither of us care about. The general consensus among everyone we know who are AP holders no one likes it. They essentially took the seasonal pass with it's blackout, added Photopass and charged more bumping us down a tier.
