I've seen degloving first hand. It made me go but in a bad way. On a related note, what the gently caress is a scapula?

I'm surprised there's still people learning about degloving given that this thread has seen multiple occurrences of the phrase 'degloved penis' already.

Grounds crewmember falls in front of tarp being rolled out, gets slightly squished but is OK. http://www.barstoolsports.com/boston/royals-grounds-crew-kid-gets-steamrolled-by-the-tarp/ Went looking for a better video and stumbled across a couple of other similar incidents https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3i1wNPpAJM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9KyzNIknQM Guess the roller mustn't be as heavy as it looks though, for them to be fine after those. Also, bonus tarp getting loose in the wind https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giG1ZG3vlrY

I learned about it ITT, I looked at just one of those lovely videos and now when i hear that word i just flinch and move the gently caress along. However I have never used a huge rotating power tool before, but I at least know thanks to you guys dont wear gloves or wear stupid clothing around big scary machines.

Man I had to look after a guy who got partially crushed by a crane and rolled him a ciggy till help arrived, degloving sounds loving terrifying though which coincides with my extreme fear of open lathes. Did the stunt woman survive by any chance?

So, I'm wondering. Does the stunt actor get paid more if the studio uses the cut where they have a bad accident mid-shoot like that, or what?

Unperson_47 posted:So, I'm wondering. Does the stunt actor get paid more if the studio uses the cut where they have a bad accident mid-shoot like that, or what? Not unless the contract specifies it. Normally the bad takes are rejected because the injury was a noticeable error that can't be used. It's rare for a mistake in stuntwork to not only be usable, but to look good enough to leave in.

I bet that driver is thankful that the mine follows the guidelines for berm construction. All roads that have an edge with a 3 meter or higher drop have to have a dirt berm at least 3/4 as tall as the largest wheel of any vehicle that uses that road.
