I have no idea what is happening in that strip at all. I almost don't want to say anything because I don't really care and I hate Brooke and his stupid pretentious comics, but a part of me wants to know. I gather she is jumping down off somewhere to go to Amos, but I don't get it. What is he trying to say or show? Is it just one of his "play with the conventions of the panels" comics? Edit: I think it might be the ugly featureless but purple- and then vomit-colored backgrounds that are confusing me.

It's a "play with the panels" comic. She's jumping over the gutters into a new "depth", it's just not presented well at all.
