Of course, that's because his name isn't even being asked about in the polls.

But hey, James Gilmore, who literally hasn't held a single campaign event yet, he is a serious candidate and gets a spot at the kids table and asked about in the polls.

So when it comes to being voted Speaker, is there anything that actually forces whomever is elected to actually serve? Or can the House, say, elect Boehner again, and have him go "Haha nope, resigning, try again"? I mean yeah its a hard position to get voted so odds are whomever is picked won't just walk, but...

Yeah, older black folks hold the same views as older folk in general.

The same general outlooks and shibboleths that permeate white people across a generation hit the black community the same way, and influence their attitudes the same. All hail mass media messaging. The only reason you don't see the black people's partisan habits mirror those of white people is due to racist policies forcing their hand, if you poll them about asking about how much they agree with a talking point and adjust for age and income the general outlook is the same across the US population.

The confederate flag assholes claim that the black party goers started pelting them with rocks which initiated the encounter. This is interesting since it's the same thing the racist white neighbors said that the pool party kids were doing a few months ago when the police ran in and attacked people.

Given that he wasn't able to generate enough attention even prior to the debate, I really doubt he will be able to generate enough attention after people start talking (optimistic, I know) about the first debate.

I think most will be "Hillary didn't sufficiently address the email" and "Hillary's big mistake" mainly because the criteria for both of those are arbitrarily defined by the writer. I don't think the will be many in debate viewers because Trump is already heralding that and the op-Ed writers don't want to be agreeing with him

The media has spent the entirety of this campaign hyping Bernie. Biden has gotten into it because a lot of the media have a personal affinity for him, but don't pretend that if the media wasn't relentlessly hyping Bernie as a challenger back this summer, that his numbers would have taken off as much.

Whether or not Biden is a GAFFE MACHINE is up to one's own proclivities, but the media thinks he is and they want to be able to cover Biden saying "slaying pussy" into a hot mic and knit their eyebrows at if he is dignified enough for the office. A Trump/Biden general is a dream scenario for news outlets and they desperately want that to happen.

Nope.

I wanna see the Sergeant at Arms' staff carry a sobbing Boehner feet-first into the chamber, Packwood-style.

quote:

A Russell Building cleaning lady told Giugni that Sen. Robert Packwood (R-Ore.) was in his personal office. Using a pass key, Giugni opened the door just as Packwood tried to block it with his arm. Packwood ended up reinjuring a broken finger.

After Giugni, a former Honolulu police officer, arrested Packwood and escorted him to the Capitol, Packwood told Giugni that he refused to enter the chamber under his own power.

Giugni responded by ordering the officers to lift Packwood and carry him through the chamber doors, which he entered feet first at 1:19 a.m.

“I do not relish doing that type of thing,” Giugni said later. “I take no personal glee in it. … Senator Packwood is a friend of mine and one of the finest Senators on the Hill. But when I’m ordered, I follow instructions.”
