I am trying to do the 7 day thing, but every time I launch this game it changes my resolution and then never launches. Is there a way to change it to windowed mode outside the game?

Yeah, there a lot of weird hook placements in that stronghold. I don't really get it. It seems like they set a hook limit, and then when they filled out the main temples and still had some hooks left, just threw them in random places without thinking about where they should go.

Some of my gripes:
There are no hooks at all between the starship hook at the front and the entrance to the main temple. It's a huge space, give us something.
There should be a centerpiece hook in the main room of the main temple. Maybe this is so you won't block your view of the 2nd level, but the centerpiece that lies in the room to the right of the main room feels cramped and it would look so much better in the main room.
The hooks in the little waterfall room off the main room are all scattered around.
There are no ceiling hooks in the first level of the smaller outer temples, nor in that side room off the main room in the big temple with the centerpiece. I'd like to put some lights on those ceilings to brighten things up.
Accessing the top of the big temple is really awkward, especially if you have centerpieces on those spots right near the stairs up.

Agreed with all of this. Overall it feels like they put hooks down and didn't actually try to decorate the place after to see if the hooks fit the space.

Honestly it's not much different than Tatooine. :( I should have learned my lesson there, lots of hooks in dumb places. I really should just focus on making DK look good since I honestly think it's the best looking stronghold.

No, that defeats the purpose of an authenticator. What you CAN do is use Airdroid if you have an android phone to access your app via wifi on your phone.

You should be able to run it in Bluestacks. Bluestacks is an emulator for Android apps, but it doesn't simulate an entire phone so it's a bit simpler than other ones.

Like Medullah said the whole security thing is basically out the window this way, but it'll get you the vendor and coins just fine.

Yes, I'm obviously not looking for physically separate from the PC here. I get that it's a big loss in security but surely something must exist that can be run from a desktop and not my phone. Currently my phone is work provided and is unreliable at best, so I'm looking for other options.

I'd recommend against Bluestacks just because you will always have to use it and rely on having it up and running, which to me seems like more of a pain than just using the physical fob. If you do, I would use Google authenticator and set it up on your phone simultaneously so you can use it on both if Bluestacks acts funky.

Why would it become tougher? It's already a raid you can only do at the level cap...

I don't think they've sold that for a couple years.

I tried Bluestacks a while back, and while it did work, it also required you to purchase it or download their "Sponsored App of the Day"(TM) every time you use it. It wasn't worth the hassle, so I removed the key and uninstalled it after I'd bought my Rhythm Augmentation Droid.

Here's an interesting one. It's a browser add-on/app.

Firefox:

Amp it up.

Since they changed the authenticators to use a standardised generation system you can add it to WinAuth if you want to run it on a desktop. As others have said, doing so reduces your security compared to mobile although WinAuth at least encrypts the key file and uses a master password to unlock it so you can have your password manager of choice generate a decent password and be at least somewhat secure.

I think that the answer is clear and that TNG should attempt NiM S&V as the first raid post-4.0

The idea is stupid, though. I really doubt anyone wants to steal your dumb MMORPG account, particularly when they'd have to know the email address it's linked to. I feel like the Security Key thing is a throwback to LAN bars and LAN parties, I can't imagine actually having my account threatened in any way.

The hooks are in weird places in general, in strongholds. Or they just combine weirdly with the restrictions on decorations. I've put a lot of work into my Tatooine base... I'm really relieved they finally upped the max available hooks so it wouldn't feel so empty, but I wish they had thrown in a few more actual hooks while they were at it, particularly out in the empty sand areas. It would make sense to put dewbacks, banthas, camping stuff, etc. out there.

My biggest frustration is that they added a sandcrawler decoration, easily one of the coolest possible things, but they restricted it to loving starship hooks, and there are no starship hooks that are actually ON SAND. There's exactly one place you can put it (counting all 5 available strongholds) that makes even a little bit of sense, and that's an outdoor landing platform that is pretty clearly meant for starships. If they switched it to fit on centerpiece hooks there would actually be a couple of good places to put it. Barring that, they ought to stick a starship hook out in the desert. At least then the decoration with only one place in the game to put it would have a matching hook where only one decoration makes sense!

I saw the price on sandcrawlers dip below 2 million once (usually the price is more like 8-10) but I didn't bother to buy it because there's nowhere to park the dang thing.

Edit: My other gripe with starship hooks is that they don't have a ring of smaller hooks around the edges (like how the large/small arrangement works) where you can put cargo, generators, ground crew, all the poo poo you always see sitting under a spaceship in Star Wars movies, and in this game. The area around ships is always so empty, they look abandoned.

There's a reason WoW introduced authenticators. Accounts got stolen all the time, and especially when MMORPG stuff can be sold for actual real money enhanced security is needed.

So very much this. I wanted to make a cool landing area/cargo loading on Yavin at the back starship hook but nope!

I was able to do something kinda cool in the Tatooine one that's in the hangar though. That one they got right.

For authenticators, Android has an app called Authy that can control your security keys, and it has a Chrome extension that will sync your accounts, that I think is encrypted with a master password. So you can use either your phone or your chrome extension to get the security key.

MMO accounts still often fetch higher prices than stolen CC numbers if they're from one of the more profitable MMOs where gold selling is still a thing because if you can convince people to buy the gold that's farmed/sold through the account you can also steal those credit card details.

It's always a good idea to protect your account with an authenticator where possible.
