Why is every decision I make incorrect? This week I: Benched Hill for Charmander/Melvin Gordon who combined for loving 1.8 points. Benched Ryan for Palmer, a ~4 point loss Benched Moncrief for Hurns, another ~4 points Picked up Gano for my kicker spot, who got a measly 3 points and I'm sure there's more I could have done but didn't. My RB situation is terrible and I'm basically writing this season off as I am now 1-5 unless OBJ scores 50 points. I might actually have to start Christine Michael next week now that Gordon has proved to be even more worthless than Hill.

Trade Targets for Week 7 Antonio Brown - Past three stat lines have been 5/42/0, 3/45/0, and 3/24/0. And these paltry scores probably sting all the more for the current owner because I doubt they've been sitting AB84. He should bounce back as soon as Big Ben comes back (and it actually doesn't look like there are many trades involving AB84 at the moment so most people seem aware of this), but there's a good chance he might be devalued at the moment. Float offers to the tune of Gore+Cooper range to start with, but I would feel good about value all the way up to Foster+Alshon if you had the depth. Randall Cobb - Also three similarly disappointing games, but this time due to double-coverage and an injured shoulder. Add in a week 7 bye followed by intimidating games against Denver and Carolina, and I think struggling teams might sell him for a song. Like, for Greg Olsen or Gio or JStew. Of course, you'd be assuming the risk I just discussed above, so I'd temper expectations. But I think they'll be able to scheme him open more as teams continue to be trashed by ARodg2Jones/Janis/whoever and have to adjust to a more honest defense. AJ Green - Again, not actually many trades involving him right now on Yahoo, but he's posted a few weeks of solid WR2 numbers followed by a disappointing game this week. He looks fine and I'd feel out the owner. Julio Jones - For some unfathomable reason, one of the most traded players on Yahoo right now. I don't know why people are selling, but treat him like the WR1. Ingram - Also one of the most traded players on yahoo right now. Had a great week with 2 touchdowns, but people watching the game will have noticed that the snap share was without a doubt a three-headed monster, with Khiry and Spiller both getting much-deserved touches. Nonetheless, Ingram has been getting it done all season on limited touches thanks to his piece of the passing game. If the owner wants face value, forget about it. But if the owner is worried about the timeshare, see if you can land him for a low WR2/RB2 combination. Value Ingram like a solid ppr flex. Matt Ryan - Continues to be consistent without posting numbers that are too gaudy. I like his schedule and his floor. Dion Lewis - People hate managing Belichick backs. Lewis owns anyways. Go get him. Sell high: Miller, Stafford, JStew, John Brown, Torrey Smith, Amendola Don't sell it's for real: Rivers, Luck, Nuke, Alshon, Megatron, BMarsh, TY, Ivory, Foster, McCoy, Freeman

Just keep repeating how he was a top 5 pick, he's historically performed at that level for his career and 3-4 bad games is a cold streak not a trend. But after this sunday you are probably going to get lowballed a ton. Try trading wed or thurs when it's not so fresh in people's heads. FWIW I would be way more confident about Cobb still being an elite option at his position. Yes lots of mouths at WR there, but he's the only one with that kind of skillset so he'll get 95% of the snaps. Starks is good enough that Lacy could get back on track and still lose a decent amount of snaps to him, esp if they're concerned about Lacy's health punch drunk posted:Give up Cobb for Frank Gore? Gore is fine as an RB2 maybe RB1 in some spots but Cobb straight up has more value. I think Gore will still be the lead back by a safe margin with Bradshaw there, and he's good at blocking/catching too, but that team looks like they will behind a lot, which is when Bradshaw would get the call more I think. You should be able to get a bit more than that, even if it isn't a 1:1 trade. THE MACHO MAN fucked around with this message at 13:57 on Oct 19, 2015 |

I think I'll try and package Lacy+(maybe even cobb)? for an elite WR, as I'm doing pretty poorly there with Cobb/Maclin/Tate/Bryant/Rishard in terms of reliability.

Cobb is just outside of the top 12 and that's with a bum shoulder. Unless you're getting one hell of a return, like Hopkins + a good rb, don't do that. He has a role in that offense that isn't redundant. You'd basically be selling your high draft picks for low during a cold streak, for a hot player that really represents a marginal upgrade. Cobb is still a #1 WR in every sense of the word. Lacy is a little more shakey but even then, you're ultimately selling low on a guy that it's pretty safe to say will play better based on his skills and historical output. I think in general, unless you think it's cutting your losses while you can (as CJ anderson owners really probably should do) it's not wise to trade coming off of bad week or weeks. Freezer posted:So is Melvin Gordon droppable yet? I need to make room in my bench for the Denver defense and his underperforming rear end has delivered nothing all year long. without seeing what your other droppable options are it is hard. I would always be hard pressed to drop a higher draft pick over a random waiver player if they're roughly the same output. I would find it hard to believe that you don't have other expendable players. That being said, I saw a stat that half of his rushes have gone for 2 yds and under, and that was a problem in college too. I think he picks it up, but it's really apparent that Woodhead has a definite role in that offense, and that role expands when Gordon plays bad or fumbles the_american_dream posted:Not only did I not start Smith Sr but I dropped him for Buck Allen! Yeah, I'm kind of curious how people think Lacy will do after the bye. I'm actually not at all worried about Starks, as it isn't like Packers gave him a heavy workload and sat Lacy. I'm more worried that Lacy is legitimately just going to do worse this year, even given the same opportunities as last. I'm still not crazy worried yet, though. Didn't he grade out well in PFF or some other similar kind of metric? I mean, Seattle and St. Louis bottled him up well, but he put up 4.5, 4.6, and 5.0 ypc against weaker opponents up until his dud against San Diego (and I don't remember whether an in-game injury limited him in any of these?). I'm hopeful he'll be 100% health after the bye and he'll get back closer to the 15 carries per game he had last year, up from the ~11 he has now.
