Saturday last week my nice(for me) headphones started glitching, sporadically losing sound on one ear. I shoot an email to customer support of the store I bought them from. On their website they state they answer emails within 48 hours. Of course those people only work Monday-Friday. Yesterday, Thursday, I get the reply, but I only see it when I wake up today, Friday. The support dude tells me that my warranty is still in place despite me thinking otherwise, and tells me to come in to one of their stores to get a replacement. (In this country you get to replace broken poo poo for 3 years from purchase, regardless of how long the actual warranty is, provided you didn't break it yourself. Burden of proof is different though.) I check their stock and the only convenient branch of theirs that got the headphones in stock is a 30 minute commute by train away. I get on the train and it stops between the station I got on and the next one. It sits there for probably 20 minutes before they decide it will turn back and continue on the line, going in the opposite direction. I do not know the extent of train fuckery I get on the bus to the local store branch <5 minutes away. There I spend many minutes trying to prove that the headphones are busted, but of course they work perfectly now. I finally wiggle the cord in just the right position to have the sound cut out. They don't have the headphones in stock but they put in an order for some. The store is open over the weekend but they will only get the delivery from their central warehouse on Monday. tl;dr I wont have any sound outputting devices for my video gaming computer until Monday. Silver lining: the headphones are more expensive now than when I got them 20 months ago, and I'll be getting brand new ones.

AKG apparently has a 2 year warranty so I'm not even using the right to replace broken poo poo. The law state that you can return things for up to 3 years if they have an original fault("from the factory") when you bought it, not including problems you've caused or wear and tear and such. I found this page explaining things in English. Also contain other consumer rights porn. Wooper has a new favorite as of 06:02 on Oct 17, 2015 |

I purchased my tickets this morning, but not for the theater I wanted to because the max tickets I could purchase at one time was 0. How does that make sense. Theater I wanted has an IMAX 3D 4K screen, so would have been awesome. But I settled for awesome recliner seat theater that is assigned seating. So I don't need to worry about camping out. Just show up half an hour or so before the movie and wander on in.

I can get a huge salad with lots of veggies for like $2 (protip: don't use their dressings. They are quote heavy and make that per pound cost skyrocket. I need to go to IKEA again because I forgot to get some items last time I went, but it's far away and I hate driving. I would go on a weekday so there won't be traffic, but it's still like an hour away. One time when I moved to a new city I got mugged for my iphone 4, so I had to go home and dig my slightly older iphone 3g out of a drawer It was really late so i had to wait like ~6 hours before I could go to the store and buy a new iphone 5. Probably the worst experience of my life, waiting those 6 hours. The mugging itself wasn't really that bad.

I build my first PC about a year ago and the documentation that came with the parts was useless, some diagrams were smaller than a postage stamp for detailing how to connect things to the motherboard. Thankfully most things are pretty standardized nowadays and there's no shortage of YT videos showing how it all fits together.

I think the last 3 motherboards I've bought came with adequate instructions for all the basic stuff. The typical hangups are installing the CPU which should be outlined in those instructions, installing an after-market cooler, the RAM if you've never done that, and probably the video card since there's always a weird locking mechanism and multiple power cords to plug in and such. For like 95% of PC building if you know how to use a screwdriver and plug the correct plug into the right hole, you're set. Hardest parts to me now are probably part picking and cable management and if you get the right case even that'll be a snap.
