I'm so glad I can't give a single poo poo about GW2. I think I got one of my dudes up to the mid-40s or so. The plant-people have cool designs, and the art direction is generally pretty cool, but that's seriously all that game has going for it.

MMOs are bad and terrible. I can say that safely as an MMO specialist with a whole full year of Tibia under his belt. FFXIV looks like a decent one if you're into FF and don't mind the genre's conventions, tho.

I was never comfortable with the notion of paying an extra monthly fee for a game after buying it, but my friends convinced me to give WoW a shot when it came out back in 2004. The feeling of exploring a huge, ever-changing world you get when starting gets old really fast when you end up doing the same three quests over and over and over and over to get slightly better gear so you can do more of the same quests to get to the "end-game" to raid the same dungeons over and over and over and over to get slightly better gear so you can...show off all the time you wasted, I guess? I tried different classes on both sides on different servers, but got incredibly bored and stopped playing it after about a year since the PvP arenas kept my interest for a couple of months. I should have bought Guild Wars instead. Thank god I avoided the whole MMO "addiction" stigma. Welp that's my story about MMOs thanks for reading. FF14 is okay. I really liked it when I started playing, but now that I got to max level I feel a bit bored. Not sure if I'm just overwhelmed with options of what to try levelling next, or that the method of levelling alts is a bit underwhelming. The strong point is easily the story carrot and with that gone it feels a little dull. Hildebrand sidequest stuff was incredibly amazing too. I love Pats comment that Hildy just breaks all the facial rigging. E: Playing WoW for a very long time probably just makes MMOs similar to it feel a bit too familiar I guess. Can't help but find 14 a little clunky by comparison. I think 14's story/characters are far better done and presented then WoW since they actually go full on with the "you're the chosen one" thing rather then sort of doing it but not really?

KOF 98 is by far my (emotional) favourite fighter, arcades around here were HUGE SNK shills and KOF 98 was always the game that really got me into arcade fighting games. I even bought the Dreamcast version just cause I wanted to practice day in. I once was bodied super hard by a group of snotty SF4 players, so I challenged all of them to KOF, and proceeded to defeat all of them in line with my killer combo team. God I'm so sad for SNK. I really wouldn't have minded a sprite re-use for '14 if they could ditch the poo poo 3D.

Daylight Savings hit and now I'm totally confused all the videos showing up early in my subscription feeds. Someone uploaded part 21, set it to private and uploaded part 20 instead. But when it came to part 21's actual turn ), someone just delisted it from private. This doesn't update the video listing so it appears new, it'll show up as if it was uploaded a day ago(which was why yesterday seemed to have no video). Soooo yeah. MK Shaolin Monks had the same issue. But hey, there's only one stupidly long 2 hour finale left now. Should be a single video if they keep skipping like they do.
