People think Ben Carson is retarded because they watch The Media smear and pundits saying "Nazis? Who does he think he is, Indiana Jones? Nazis weren't real!" instead of The Man speak himself. He makes a good case for attacking the free press as a Liberal Propaganda Hate Machine abusing the First Amendment, revealing the truth about the Medicare conspiracy, and describing his campaign as Operation Overlord. The interviews he does are often so bad with people attacking and yelling at him before he can even finish a sentence. He actually is a good public speaker. He just really hates Democrats and Nazis, a recurring poignant theme of his message.

I'm not even religious or anything, I just understand why people like Carson. Everyone thinks his policies are retarded or that he's a cartoon, because they never read any of his books or watched his speeches, or know anything about him except propaganda that is outright libel. He doesn't even talk about God, or cutting programs. He's just Dr Ben, ready 2 mend the partisan divide in politics, and undermine the Democratic Party's base for a generation with poors and minorities by stealing them all from a poo poo candidate like Hillary

Yup so how does the 2nd amendment argument apply here if they took their rights as basic humans before they took their guns? Surely that's the time I would have used those guns to fight back

Bethamphetamine
Oct 29, 2012

quote:

Dr. Ben Carson defended a prior call to combine and “redistribute” education funds in order to eliminate inequality between rich and poor school districts on Tuesday, but his campaign clarified afterwards that Carson would not intrude on local control of education.

The exchange stemmed from comments Carson made in 2014 to Politico Magazine in which he condemned gaps in school spending at the local level.

“If you happen to be in an affluent community, there’s a lot more money for the schools, better facilities, everything. All that does is perpetuate the situation,” Carson said at the time. “Wouldn’t it make more sense to put the money in a pot and redistribute it throughout the country so that public schools are equal, whether you’re in a poor area or a wealthy area?”

...

Carson’s comments were surprising because K-12 schools are overwhelmingly funded by local property taxes and state dollars rather than by the federal government, which covers only 10.8% of school costs according to the Department of Education. Critics of the system argue that local funding of education funding fosters inequality and segregation, especially given that minority communities tend to live in districts with weaker tax bases. Parents in more upscale school districts have historically resisted efforts to flatten funding disparities, however, such as distributing school funding evenly across a state or transferring students from schools in poor neighborhoods to richer ones.

Ben Carson had a good idea to improve public schools. Let's see how much that hurts his polling.
