Chapter 3 is called Peace, which is in direct opposition to Big Boss' world of constant warfare, so we will never get it. Deep.

Would it really have been so hard to be able to set the tapes to auto-pause during codec calls or something? This is why I only listened to them in the ACC while doing base/staff/development management. You can still multitask without interruptions. Plus when I'm sneaking around I need to listen for anything that indicates enemy presence.

There's a cutscene where Code Talker tells Venom to keep an eye on Miller all the while some glowing stuff is in the air. What's that about? What does it lead to?

I was convinced Miller was the traitor since the start, but it never really went that way. Either it refers to the fact he had a talk with Zero or it's foreshadowing to cut content or maybe it's something to do with how he acts like he can see eventhough he looks blind.

Nothing and I assume that's more chapter 3 stuff that got cut. The floating things are apparently mind-reading parasites. LOL Miller was already the traitor in Peace Walker and he even says it after you rescue him. His desire for revenge against Skull Face is real. The things I wonder are: - Why is Miller still bent on revenge against Zero even after he finds out the attack on MSF was done by Skull Face and that Zero had nothing to do with it? - If Big Boss knew that Kaz was a traitor, why would he rescue and trust him with another round of the same poo poo? Miller has all of his limbs in the hospital scene, so it's definitely after GZ. It would be pretty fitting if he lost them because the real Big Boss wasn't willing to stick his neck out to rescue him right away, and waited for Venom to wake up / get acclimated instead.

I thought it could have been that too, but I checked Metal Gear Wiki and apparently it said he "fathered" a daughter, so I doubt he adopted in that case. Again though, take with a grain of salt because Miller's wife and daughter has never been important so for all we know, they might not even exist.

I assume that Miller lost his limbs in the Skull attack, not to the torture, just because he has such a specific hatred for the Skulls and also because they wield machetes. As for his blindness, I think that happened because he lost his sunglasses. If you look at his portrait in Peace Walker, you can see he has the same pale eyes that he does in The Phantom Pain, so I think he had some kind of previously unmentioned eye condition that required him to permanently wear sunglasses to protect his overly sensitive eyes. When he lost his glasses during the attack, he had no way of protecting his eyes and suffered vision damage.

Wait, doesn't Miller say "We all lost something that day" when talking to Huey in TPP. I thought that was supposed to refer to his limbs. In the TPP cutscene of a flashback to MB being destroyed, you see some MSF soldiers carry Miller to a helicopter with what looks like wounds to his legs thus needing to be carried. Maybe that cutscene is in GZ as well since its a flashback. Just re-watching TPP cutscenes it seems like Miller is referring to losing his limbs as something that happened in the past and not just recently in Afghanistan. vvv Good catch. My theory negated by the loving fiddle scene vvv Shaocaholica fucked around with this message at 20:24 on Nov 2, 2015 |

Miller lost his home and family at the end of GZ. You can see in the helicopter that Miller still has his limbs when shouting about being played like a drat fiddle, which came after he was escorted to the helicopter by two MSF soldiers. Related, he refuses advanced prosthetics in TPP because he wants to live with his phantom pain as a reminder of what he's lost until he feels his fallen comrades have been avenged.

When you hear audio of a woman saying 'V has come to', is that just supposed to be one of the spy nurses at the hospital or a main MGS character? edit: Also, I take it that in TPP when you hear 'V has come to' in multiple voices it signifies that the message was relayed through multiple people on its way to Cipher? Skull Face wanted to ensure no one could encroach on other's cultures so he would wipe out the English language, then give everyone access to nukes via mass produced Sallys. This is to ensure a form of MAD. Skull Face is an idiot because English wasn't the main thing that allowed conquerors to dominate other cultures, but violence was. Violence also happens to be a pretty universal way to communicate so shutting down the most common verbal language in the world isn't going to do jack poo poo. He is enabling violence though, so he's kind of working against his own goals there.
