One thing I am really liking from the streams is that it seems like you often are fighting a ton of enemies at once compared to fallout 3's one at a time and if two show up you are dead most of the time approach.

You also need to actually assign people to guard posts to get any defense out of them, unlike turrets. I'm not sure the streamer understands that.
