Vault 34 was fine too until the Overseerer became a paranoid gun control nut in a Vault where everyone was armed with a firearm of some type, most of the inhabitants ended leaving, colonizing a nearby airfield, and becoming the Boomers.

At first I thought the prefixes on weapons were just them modded up, but it seems like they're closer to diablo-esque prefixes and not just indicators of what mods they have? That's pretty cool

Next you'll tell me there's a laser pistol that reloads by causing an exploding wherever the used energy cell hits.

There are unique weapons with pre-defined names and special abilities (that can still be customized), loot-drop items with special abilities (that can also be modded), and modded weapons.

This guy has put 30hrs in and is still using a 1 shot n reload rust pistol. People like this exist? Has he even crafted on anything other than his bat he hasn't used since hour 14?

I really hope it's not random enchantments on loot drops, but it looks like it is. I have to wonder why they thought this was necessary with already having mods and uniques. First actual gameplay mechanic to really bum me out so far.

Wouldn't a Never Ending Fat Man be the same as a regular one since the cycling animation is the entire reload animation anyway? Like, how would the animation even work if you didn't reload it?

Well I'm a little more interested in the game now that I know there's unique/interesting guns that I can still mod on top of that. Alot of mods on that list are ho-hum but stuff like the Junkie and Two Shot prefixes sound interesting.

Also, Tommy- the guy with downs that is streaming it- proved that it just eats your ammo, no reload animation at all.

Unlimited ammo capacity does not mean you can fire forever. If it has a ammo cycle animation, like the hunting rifle, it still goes through that animation. It also does not mean infinite ammo. I hope to get an unlimited ammo capacity HMG. Here's some information from somebody that got the strategy guide on Reddit. There are 50+ enemy types with 5-8 variations each. There are multiple power armor suits. It was not clear if you can mix power armor parts, or if you get a completely different suit to apply different mods on individual parts. We have seen that you can change parts in videos, but I don't know if that means changing parts to modded parts for a particular suit, or taking the T-1000 helmet and putting it on a T-800 chest armor. Power armor puts you at 11 strength, reduces radiation, and has no fall damage. If you fall far enough it will cause damage to things around you. I like the Lovecraft refrence, I was wondering if they were gonna have Arkham or Innsmouth or something in the game. But I do like the subtly of what they went with.
