My guess on both of your ideas. 1. i think galivan is in someway related to the wayne murders, I dont think he called the hit, but i think he probaly knows or works under the people who did or he is just lying out his rear end.

2. I think bruce is going to find the killer and its going to turn out the killer is some big blubbering dude who only did the hit because he needed to pay for his kid/ or his family was under threat. bruce will feel bad for him and realize killing him isn't worth it.

Option 1 would be funny just for the look on Bruce's face when he opens the folder and its just Galivan making a smug face. Then he could go on his own version of "It was me Austin! It was always me!" rant.

Option 2 is more likely, which happens to alot of super heros, with their revenge fantasy falling apart when they realize their target is a coward.

Bruce was prepared to kill his parents killer in Batman Begins so it's hardly a unique take on the character.
Sad about the cop out with Barbara in the end but a pretty solid episode all the same.

Yeah, I know that, its just more not Batman TAS style, which is the one true Batman, with all other versions just alternative versions of him.

I thought that someone at Wayne Industries paid to have the Waynes killed, so Galivan probably didn't have anything to do with it.

Sure, but with the recent backstory that Galavan's sole purpose is to ruin the Wayne family name and "Take back what is rightfully his" then killing off Bruce's parents as part of some "long con" revenge scheme fits. Just like the show feinted at the origin of the Joker, they can fake out with who killed the Wayne's without ever really revealing it. This way we can just conjecture forever.

At this point I don't really believe that the showrunners have a clue who the killer is yet (especially if you look at Heller's track record with the Mentalist). I hope that they end up sticking to Joe Chill/just a random killing thing. The reason that works so well in the DCU is because it shows how bad Gotham is, as opposed to some stupid grand conspiracy.

I would like it if they never revel it or there are a bunch of options but you are unsure which group out of did it. It was Gotham itself.

Or like 4 people had a hit out on Thomas Wayne at the same time and only Catwoman knows who actually got there first. Maybe be a little more progressive and have Martha Wayne be a cutthroat businesswoman that took the company from local manufacturing to multinational, and made a few enemies.

They maybe should have developed The Waynes as characters and had them insist on walking down back alleys all the time so you never know when it's gonna happen.

Ugh basically everything save crazy barb in the Church was really painful when it was Gordon and Barbara talking. I did like that finally poo poo didn't go perfectly for Gallavant and his sister didn't show up and save his bacon again.

Actually glad she took a hit. Maybe it will get infected and she'll die.

Just now watching last night's episode on hulu. Barbara's opening dream sequence was great.

The way that Barbara keeps making Jim' s lovelife hell is pretty cool also. I mean it's annoying as gently caress, but it's also a great angle on the city of Gotham makes people crazy. Jim Gordon has often been portrayed as having a strong moral compass. This portrayal has crossed a lot of line fans wouldn't have expected. This is an extra layer to the poo poo that Gordon deals with on a daily basis.

Edit: hahahaha Riddler apologizing to Miss Kringle, whose body is in a trunk, for jostling it while dragging it into the woods.

I can definitely see how this could be a problem with child actors. I even wondered if it might happen with Selina; it would have been really awkward if she was suddenly way taller than Bruce. I hadn't really noticed it in the show but, I haven't been looking for it either. I'm pretty sure the Silver character is taller than Bruce but, they hide it well; TV and movies are good at it after having to deal with smurfs like Cruise.

Also, I was really surprised that Babs lived - I don't hate her character as much anymore, but it felt like that should have been the closing point to her story.

I thought maybe it was going to be a child. Like Poison Ivy maybe. But the reveal was great. I love that Nygma is basically terrible at being sneaky, but he's magically clever enough to improvise his way out of situations. It's a fun dynamic.

For a second, I was like "wait, Galavan died?" Then I realized I can't read. Yeah Galavan is terrible. At first I thought that was the point, like he was a textbook smarmy villain with an obvious plan. But they are still drawing it out like we are supposed to care.

edit: Oh I just remembered he finally got busted last episode. Only because he left the old mayor alive for literally no reason.

If you want to see growth spurts, look at Game of Thrones, pretty much the entire young cast grew a solid foot or more between seasons, until now Sophie Turner is like the second tallest woman on the show after Gwendolyn Christie and the kid who plays Bran is almost as tall as Hodor.

Though Gotham doesn't have a set time line has it? Like it hasn't been 60 days since Bruce's parents died, so it easily could be a full year or more and boys at that age can grow over night.

We said the same thing. "Did they tell them what happened to the first strike force...?" And then of course they all come piling out of their armoured carrier and don't use the doors or anything for cover! They deserved to get shot.

I don't really feel like Jim is "falling for her poo poo." Jim is just trying to be a human being and this show is actually Batman's first attempt at taking mental health and brainwashing semi-seriously.
