Oooooooo! A never before seen director's cut of Halloween 6! I've always said that if only the director of Halloween 6 had been free from meddling, we would have had a masterpiece.

Yeah there really are a ton of special features exclusive to the set. I've gotten a lot of mileage out of mine so far.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has proudly released the list of their initial UHD Blu-Ray titles, to be released in early 2016:

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Sony has 4K scans of Lawrence Of Arabia, Taxi Driver, The Fifth Element, Leon The Professional, Dracula, Ghostbusters, Men In Black, Glory, Spider-Man and many other movies that would have been a million times better than what they selected.

You'd think they'd just cancel the project in that case since they control it.

Even that garbage hockey puck thing they sold came with The Bridge on the River Kwai and Taxi Driver.

(plus The Amazing Spider-Man; Bad Teacher; The Karate Kid (remake); The Other Guys; Battle: Los Angeles; Salt; Total Recall (remake) :barf:)

I chalk that up to Cameron wanting to do a "proper" release of it, like he's done with the first two Terminator movies, Titanic, and Aliens. It's why we haven't gotten 'The Abyss' on blu yet either.

Actually Zombie's Halloween 2 (the directors cut) is the best Halloween movie, and I still would like to read his original script which didn't even have Michael Meyers in it.

Zombie has made three absolute masterpieces of horror in the past ten years, nobody else working today is anywhere close. Only the iconic best of the best(Carpenter, Craven, Argento) can claim to have made three better films in the genre than The Devil's Rejects, Halloween 2, and Lords of Salem.

Not to get too far off topic, but how many actors nowadays really change their voice/tone/delivery/etc. from film to film? I just went to see The Martian, and enjoyed watching Matt Damon space-farm. I love the movie The American, because you get to see George Clooney build a gun and drink coffee. But Matt Damon and George Clooney don't change too much from one film to the next. They insert their personality and tone into their role, and if it's a good fit, it's considered good acting.

Will Smith is Will Smith. He's going to do his thing, for the most part. A lot of people like him (me included), but enjoying him and saying he's a good actor in a good movie are two different things. It doesn't mean he can't step outside of his comfort zone, and do something different, and do it well. I usually stay away from movies where Will Ferrell screams and falls down a lot, but I really love Stranger Than Fiction, for example.

Please enjoy Hancock if you enjoy the stylings of Will Smith. Please don't get defensive when someone goes, "Oh, it's just the usual Will Smith movie,", or uses a catchphrase to say as much.

Will Smith at some point gave interviews where he spoke openly about his early career and how meticulous he was in crafting his image. I'm sure he realized early on that he would need to appeal to white people if he was going to be a big star, and once he hit on the perfect persona to do that he's been very hesitant to step away from it. Ali was a special case because come on, of course anyone would love to play that role. Pursuit of Happiness is very interesting though, I'd love to learn more about what was going on behind the scenes or in his life that led to him taking that role.

It still bums me out that he refused to do Django Unchained despite Tarantino doing everything in his power to get him on board after writing the role for him. Will Smith was amazing in I Am Legend (no joke)
