How are the new french mediums compared to other t9/t10 mediums? I came back to the game after ~15 months and I was grinding on the 13 90 to get a bat chat but I already have 2 lines of autoloaders (t54e1 and 50 100) so I was thinking about going for the new tanks instead.

AMX-30 prototype is amazing, and AMX-30B is very good. If you don't plan od doing clan wars or T10 strongholds, go for the AMX-30.

I can say that the AMX-30 is no E-50 - it doesn't ram nearly as well. Still a good tank though, even if I've been on the unfortunate side of #snapshotmeta in it. Also why the gently caress does pastebin delete things like that list of premium tanks, but not my loving DxDiag from a year ago? Bah.

Which pref 8's are worth having besides the Jagdhitler? The WZ-111 isn't cutting it with the stupid frontal armor layout and inaccurate garbage gun. How's the IS-6 in comparison?

The IS-6 is excellent, as long as you don't run into any IS-3s, or things with comparable armor. The gun's the only real downside, the tank itself is mobile and bouncy enough to get by.

WG loves putting in awful tanks then never buffing them - because no one plays them (because they are bad) - and I had no reason to believe the at-15a would be different. The buffs were extreme too; they gave it two hundred more hp and preferential matchmaking and it was still the worst t7 premium TD. I don't know where it stands now because I don't know enough about the scorpion to compare them and now it might not even be the worst t7 British TD because the challenger defies common sense. Going to leave this here as a lesson/reminder as to what not to do when facing a Tortoise. http://wotreplays.com/site/2268352#windstorm-steelion-tortoise Turns out that trying to 1v1 a tank with 4000 dpm is a bad idea! If they had all come in at once I'd have been hosed, but that would require coordination, something that pubbies have an incredible shortage of.

"carries the same 75mm gun that other M4 Shermans do", sure, all normal Shermans can technically mount the Lee gun. A turreted M3 Lee with a lowered ROF would make a decent T4 premium. For some reason WG made it a T5 instead.

Sadly it's yet another tank woefully underequipped for regular matchmaking. Bring on the +1/-1.

The only way to fix that tank is to give it the M4's M1A1. 127 gold pen just doesn't cut it for a tier 5. It's the reason the M7 is rightfully overlooked despite being smaller and faster than the M4 Improved.

The biggest problem with the Foch that I see is just that power creep has not been kind to it. It has a glacial autoloader, which means that most tanks can actually afford to peek out and take a shot before the 155 can fire again. 5 seconds is an eternity, and it mans you can't really magdump anything. By extension, this means that the 5 second reload is only really useful when there are enough tanks to shoot at that one or two of them backing into cover after the first hit doesn't mean you're wasting your advantage. This is combined with nonexistent side armor and enormous frontal weakspots. I haven't played it, but if it's anything like the other french tanks, it probably has awful gun handling too. All this adds up to what sounds like a great tank if you enjoy fighting tooth and nail to actually get your gun to hit where you're aiming, which for a tank with a 40-50 second clip reload sounds like hell. Does anybody else have screen flicker since switching to Windows 10? It's a problem across all WG titles, and apparently the best way to fix it is to go back to some Windows 8.1 drivers from like last year. Well, I can confirm that works, but I'd really prefer to be using the latest drivers for my video card. Not that I'm really playing right now anyway. I'm too goddamned annoyed with LT-15 "with honors." My map rotation is Stalingrad > Kharkov > Ensk > Himmelsdorf > Stalingrad > Stalingrad > Kharkov > Ensk > Stalingrad

I thought doing 2k damage to TD's in a medium would be simpler, but I'm really not seeing a huge number of TD's around these days. Swear they used to be everywhere.

Something magical just happened: We steamroll the enemy on Westfield, their two remaining guys in an M4 and M4E3 hide between the bridge pillars. I key up my finest "BANZAIIII" in allchat and dive off the bridge right on top of both of them. Weirdly enough, I didn't get credit for the kills since the impact somehow didn't kill them and, instead, they slowly withered away under my hulk, with the E3 trying to inch out from under me and almost getting pushed out when exploding. Both kills were listed as "enemy crashed". /ninjaedit: The picture doesn't really do it justice, my tank is actually sitting atop the M4 on the right despite looking like being behind it.
