Yeah, there is a display issue at the moment. You're still in the queue though, but the queue is hosed at the moment for roulettes. I suspect the change "[2.0] The matching algorithm for Duty Roulette has been adjusted to reduce wait times." is responsible for why I get 30min+ waits for DR:EX, until I leave and re-queue, then it instantly pops.

Regarding the XP increase of Heavensward Dungeons, Gubal Library is giving out somewhere along the lines of 2x to 2.5x experience per mob.

That's quite the increase.

Yeah at 55 its looking like 3 or 4 runs of Sohm will get me a level, as opposed to nearly 10 runs (at least) being needed for a single level.

The only strategy for spawning NMs is to sit in a zerg deathpile and AoE down mobs. No excitement, just mindless button mashing for 90 minutes. Imagine if gathering or mapping the zone or pressing two different coloured crystals or loving anything else contributed to spawning NMs.

Nothing to do with gear or BiS or anything, its just a loving boring zone that could be so much more.

I don't think it was ever promised that Diadem would be more than just and endless, mindless grind. Some variety would be nice, yes, and you have some good ideas here, but keep in mind that pretty much anything done for fun or variety will be either skipped as it's non optimal ("why do objectives for a measly token each when we need to GRIND AS MANY GOLD CHESTS AS WE CAN SO WE HAVE OUR OPTIMAL i210 BIS YAAAARAAAAAAAAGE") or another reason to hate it ("goddddddd why do we have to kill Pfajlefajlfagasaurses every goddamed time they're only rank 3 what a bother.") Saving the playerbase from punching itself in the genitals as hard as it can is a tall order.

it'd be a lot less mindless if the mobs weren't so loving boring

why does everything have so much HP and so little damage/mechanics? the worm doesn't even do anything, it's just a giant sack of HP and the buffalo is only dangerous because the hysteria will probably result in people aggroing everything nearby.

Had a group earlier where all but 2 parties despawned in Diadem HM while we were fighting Wisent. We regrouped, we pulled Wisent into a corner, and made it abundantly clear to both groups: do not leave this corner to outrange AoE, you will pull adds and wipe us.

So what does the other group's WHM do? Five minutes into the fight, she starts trying to stand out to outrange the paralyze. She gets charged, gets feared, and pulls a Banemite, then drags it back into us. Thanks, White Mage.

In better news I got my Conjurer to 15 and started playing around on my new Scholar. Holy poo poo this feels so much better as far as overall gameplay. I almost gave up on my Summoner because the damage didn't seem that great and I felt very squishy even with a tank pet. Now I just keep Selene out, load up all my dots (including aero) and tab to the next mob to die. Cleric stance and Protect from the Conjurer really seemed to help after I respecced to spend all my bonus points in mind. Healed a couple dungeons and it was great.

This very well may replace WoW for me :)

Scholar is basically the best MMO healer ever, in my little opinion. Being able to do very respectable damage while having the fairy do delaying heals/playing chicken with the tank's life, BIG SHIELD CRITZZZZ, a neat and varied cooldown toolbox, and of course in 3.x a cool-as-hell LB3, it's a complete package and I really, really like it. Summoner starts to come together after 30, though, so don't discount it entirely.

But yeah, welcome to the "welp, so much for Warcraft" contingent. I liked Warcraft for a long time, but Yoshida's XIV basically provided everything I ever wanted out of Warcraft, but better, and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Absolutely. The only thing I was doing in WoW anymore is log on to do garrison busy work and run raids on 9 characters a week hoping for a mount. I'm tired of being burnt out. Hopefully the endgame in XIV has better replayability, although if it doesn't I've still got a ton of stuff to burn through :)

EponymousMrYar

It has better replayability because you only need to do it once a day (on account of not having alts.)

Heck, an EXDR a day will cap your Eso's in 6 days, opening up some time on the 7th.

People were looking for a reason to be a specialist for a while now, and specialist recipes were one of the things requested. It's not too awful. Although I don't think there's enough to warrant specialising in some of them yet.

For me, honestly, it's the gear. I love all the things that have bags and pouches on them. I saw someone in Limsa with a shirt that looked like it had two messenger bags on it, one on either side, and it appeared to be dyeable. I wish I had written the name of it down, because I'm going to want to try to get it once I level up some more.

If glamour was a thing from the get-go, I'd glamour the level 15 Acolyte's Robe onto everything.

3.1 raid and dunganes are easy I think SQENIX is trying to accomodate new players that Joined during heavensward and that's really sad. There will always be new players and if things are always watered down in the beginning of every expansion the game will never really grow. That's one of the sideeffects of trashing your old content and making it irrelevant, every effort put into creating a learn curve is wasted and it becomes a never ending task of fixing things up.
