the 10mm pistol you get in the tutorial is still useful throughout the game because you can mod it to be better

i only play in third person with no vats, that's what carried me through fo3 and fnv though I've been breaking that once I realized fo4s cover mechanic in FPs mode, hoping a mod can add that to third person
