I really liked the first three episodes, but I've been a bit underwhelmed since. This one was better, but one more weak one and I think I might be out.

The Dayon travel epic is animated magic. Hilarious show. I especially laughed super hard at the super fast montage of Dayon recounting the memories of the planned trip. I'm super glad this show exists. Also, really gorgeous color work and paintings.

Using nonblack colors to outline things is actually a really frequent thing in all kinds of media because black is a poo poo color and tends to make the outline either too stark or too whatever depending on the situation, so animators use desaturated dark blue or red lines to combat that. Looks neat too.
