I'm grumpy about Linkle because we're already getting Wind Waker characters and Aryll is like, right there as a character who already exists. Where's my seagull themed moveset god dammit. All will be forgiven if Linkle gets a passably good Hyrule Warriors "story" background. But if she's just The Original Character Do Not Steal Who Appeared From Somewhere For Some Reason then I'd rather have had Aryll.

Huh. Had to look up Linkle because I thought she might have been parallel Hyrule Link from the 3DS game I never played, but nope, just genderswapped Link.  Between this and Cloud I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo's next console flies and dispenses hot chocolate. I love Nintendo

The Fallen Hero part of the timeline needs some representation though, Irene would be pretty cool in lieu of Maple. And Old Impa who I can picture doing physical stuff like punches and rolls mixed with casting magic.

Incidentally, the guy who directed the Capcom Zelda games works at Nintendo and has for a while; he also worked on Phantom Hourglass and was the director on Skyward Sword.
