Have built most of a settlement entirely out of clipboards at one point. The things I'm always running short on are adhesive (though that's been mostly solved, thanks vegetable starch), oil, copper, and fiber-optics. Also wood depending on whether or not I'm in the middle of a building frenzy.

Edit:^^^ Exactly what he said. God drat I can't wait for a mod that automatically allocates settlers to open poo poo 'to do'. gently caress the mechanic to assign people is retarded because it's tied to being in 'workshop mode'. Better hope your settler isn't near any objects!

I wish that settlers would stick around near whatever they are supposed to be working on or there was some sort of persistent highlighting so that you can go around corners and see what they are assigned to. Or even a fallout shelter style mechanic for assigning them tasks. Also building walls around settlements sucks rear end. You can rotate panels but they only lock together in straight lines? Terrain clipping? loving walls have gaping holes everywhere like the aftermath of fleet week

the slog and graygarden are already setup to provide you with a ton of foodstuffs, and new settlers will normally be auto assigned to unattended crops as well
