Another main opposition to torture is that many believe that hypothetical situations, such as the ticking time bomb, bear little to no fruit because they do not actually occur in real life and are, therefore, unrealistic.

in all honesty, if one does more complicated things than may be done by libreoffice one should learn to use latex or some other more sophisticated text editor

microsoft office really occupies a weird niche that isn't strictly necessary imo

i feel this way about microsoft visual studio, also

it's overkill as an IDE for students and hobbyists but isn't on par with the full-service development environments used in-industry (like RSA), so nobody is really sure what it's for

i think most people refer to 'x open source document thing' being bad as to underdeveloped interface/design/usability, optimization, and proprietary compatibility of thereof - that is the reasons why i call all open source office suites bad. i know latex, and use it to write everything that isn't a presentation or plain spreadsheet (unless thing mandates specific format), but sometimes i do need to open ms office documents and then it's piss, not even mentioning occasional editing of thereof

"Who's policies caused the instability? Largely the Obamster and Hillary, promoting the Arab spring."
