In my opinion, this is why archives are super important, but I also know there are some people who only enjoy watching stuff live, and don't check out the archives. That said, I feel like even games without major stories--platformers, puzzle games, anything--still show off a personal growth in the streamer, which you miss out on by missing an episode. But I suppose that definitely is, less troubling to miss.

A lot of people, at least as far as Hitbox is concerned, don't even make any concluded streams viewable to the public anyway, so it ends up that there's not much reason to look for them.

Streams are kind of like Dawson's Creek; you need to watch them all (or keep up with the reruns) to keep up with all the plot points. Afaik there is literally no reason not to have stream archives available on your stream, even if you don't bother with YouTube.
